Die Form is a form of Sora's in Kingdom Hearts II. Sora can be transformed into a six-sided die, similar to his Card Form. Sora enters this form by as a penalty when he loses a Gambler's "Stop Dice" Reaction Command. Since the only recognizable part of Sora when he is in Die Form is his face, his crown pendant is not visible.
During this time, he balances on one corner of the die, unable to move normally. Sora moves and attacks in this form by jumping, which has the added effect of rolling him. The Drive Gauge is changed to a special form bar and will begin to count down as to how long Sora has left as a die. Constantly jumping in this form can be used to delay Sora turning back to normal. Additionally, Sora cannot enter and exits rooms on his own in this form; he must instead be pushed through doorways by some means.
Appearance
In his Die Form, Sora takes the form of a large, six-sided die. An image of Sora's head represents the number one on the die. Sora's face is frozen in an expression of shock and surprise. Everything from Sora's neck down is not visible in this form, including his crown necklace. The other sides of the die are numbered with several elegant, curled, cyan hearts.
Notes and References
- If Drive Gauge is disabled, Sora will be transformed into Die Form for less than a second and then will revert back to his normal form.
- If Sora is already in another Form, after the Drive Gauge corresponding to Die Form becomes empty, Sora will be back in his previous form, with a completely replenished Drive Gauge.
- Any summoned character can prevent Sora from being transformed by the Gambler.
