The Ether is a recurring item that was introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It can typically be used in battle to restore MP to the user, or to a target of the user's choosing.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts, an Ether restores three magic points to one party member.
In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, an Ether card instantly restores all magic cards that have been used, but not lost through sleights.
In Kingdom Hearts II, an Ether fully restores the MP bar of the user. If it is being recharged, the Ether reduces the MP Charge Gauge.
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Ether is an item panel which restores one cast of each type of magic installed by the user.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, an Ether restores 30% of the user's Focus Gauge.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, an Ether raises Data-Sora's Clock level by one.
