The Oblivion is gained by opening a chest located in the room where Riku was fought while possesed by Ansem. The player doesn't get a chance to open it until after the fight. Probably the strongest mêlée-oriented Keyblade in the game. It has an increadible reach, second, or equal, to the Metal Chocobo, but only with more power and better chances at critical hits. The Oblivion reappears in Kingdom Hearts II, as both a key chain for Sora after his reunion with Riku, and as one half of Roxas' dual set of Keyblades, the other being Oathkeeper, representing Riku and Kairi, respectively.
