Yen Sid accepts, but as they are short of time, has [[Merlin]], [[Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather]] suppress the time needed for Lea to train. Lea eventually manages to summon his Keyblade, but does not get the hang of it until after Sora has been rescued from [[True Organization XIII|Xehanort's Organization XIII]]. Having learned to summon the weapon voluntarily, he playfully vows to become Sora's and Riku's rival.

The blade and teeth appear as a translucent streak of yellow-orange flame, resembling that of the [[Frolic Flame]] Keyblade; the teeth open like a hook rather than a closed loop.
