:I think it's just a leftover inconsistency. We know that Mickey met Ansem the Wise on several occasions, and we see one of these meetings in the KHII flashback (the cutscene is "The King's Memory"). In this scene, researcher Terra-Xehanort briefly pops in, and from Mickey's reaction and later account, it appears as though this is the first (and perhaps only?) time they met. This contradicts Report 9 – the report must have been written about Mickey's first arrival, which would have been far earlier. | |||
:Also, if Report 9 was truly written by Xehanort, that would mean he and Mickey conversed for hours, which is not the case. As per the cutscene and Secret Ansem Report 2, Micky knew about Xehanort's unethical experiments and the fake "Ansem's Reports", so it would be out-of-character for him to engage in deep conversation with Xehanort. Plus, when Mickey looks at the picture of Xehanort, he can only say "Hmm...
