The Spider is a Gummi Nobody that is found in Kingdom Hearts II.

Spider is a unique type of Nobody Ship that appears in various Gummi Missions in Kingdom Hearts II. It uses many different attacks such as lasers, power shots, and blast bombs. The number of attacks it can do is limited by the number of arms it has left. After destroying all six arms, the body spins about erratically, firing a massive multitude of energy shots. There are also more powerful Red and Gold versions of this Nobody Ship that drop treasures when defeated.

The Spider is a Gummi Nobody that is found in Kingdom Hearts II.

Design[edit]

The Spider is a large, apparently mechanical Nobody with a wide, flying saucer-like main body. Its body is orange with off-white highlights and three black vent openings in its front. Its head, a thick, black spike with the Nobody emblem adorning its front, is set in the middle of the top half of its body and is partially surrounded by a "collar". It has six "arms" and one "tail", all of which share the same vaguely conical spike shape. Its six arms are arranged on the sides of the Spider's body in a similar manner to those of Kurt Zisa. The two middle arms on either side are predominantly off-white with black tips and a yellow and purple ring near the tips. The other four arms are all predominantly purple with black tips and a yellow and off-white ring near the tips. The Spider's tail is larger than its arms and attached to the underside of its body. It is predominantly purple with a black, claw-like tip. There are also Red and Gold versions of this Nobody Ship.

The Spider's name is a reference to its seven limbs, which are reminiscent of the eight legs on arachnids like spiders.

Strategy[edit]

It uses many different attacks such as lasers, power shots, and blast bombs. The number of attacks it can do is limited by the number of arms it has left. After destroying all six arms, the body spins about erratically, firing a massive multitude of energy shots. When they spin like this, destroy them quickly or else they will fly up off the screen, leaving no rewards, medals, or HP behind. The more powerful Red and Gold versions drop treasures when defeated.
