Larxene appears as a boss in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, its remake, and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. While she is first fought by Sora because she is merely "playing with him", Larxene faces him a second time with a goal of elimination in mind after she learns of Axel's betrayal. Fading away after the second battle with Sora, Larxene appears to him a year later as both an Absent Silhouette and a Data Replica.

First battle
First battle
For the first battle against Larxene, the player should make sure they have a relatively even amount of HP and CP. This should be done to make sure that Sora will not only have a decent amount of cards in his deck, thus shortening the time spent reloading and worrying about an eventual lack of cards, but also that he will not be defeated by Larxene's first few attacks. So long as one knows when to heal and takes the necessary precautions, they will defeat Larxene with only moderate difficulty.

At the start of the battle, the player can begin to attack Larxene with Sleights and either Magic or Attack Cards. Two HP bars must be depleted, so be wise when carrying out these attacks, especially when Sora's cards are being used in Sleights. Larxene will mainly use cards of a relatively low value, so her slashing attacks can be easily Card Broken. They will hit multiple times if they are not stopped, however, Sora needing to use a Donald card (in the hopes that he uses Cure or one of its upgrades) or a Cure card to heal himself immediately afterwards. Using the Donald card is risky, however, as he may cast Thunder on Larxene, which will heal her. Larxene may also use an Attack Card to throw her Foudre Knives at Sora, but this tactic can be avoided by simply running out of the way. Larxene's Magic Cards cause her to cast a Thundaga spell at Sora, something easily avoided through Dodge Roll or a Card Break. Larxene will only use one Sleight to counter the many that Sora can know at this point, Lightning Bolt, which causes her to shoot lightning from the tips of her Foudre at Sora, drawing him closer to her and stunning him for a time, thus opening him to attack. When Larxene's HP dwindles, her Magic Card will change so that she can bombard Sora with slashes and then a Thunder spell, something best avoided through a Card Break.

While the battle with Larxene will be tedious, Enemy Cards such as Oogie Boogie and Jafar can certainly make the battle a lot easier. Make full use of the special bonuses these Enemy Cards grant. Through an even usage of offense and defense, Larxene will fall in due time.

Second battle
Second battle
Larxene takes a final stand against Sora, her HP now at three bars. This not only means the battle will be a lot longer, but that Larxene will be much more powerful. Donald and Goofy return to aid Sora during the battle, meaning Friend Cards can be used again. Sora's arsenal of Sleights will most likely have expanded, so be sure to use them. Enemy Cards like Jafar, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Oogie Boogie will also be useful, and before the player activates the cutscene that leads to the battle by talking to a defeated Riku Replica, be sure to head back to the Destiny Islands and save the game. This will restore Sora's HP and give the player the ability to restart the battle with Larxene from after the very difficult battle with the Riku Replica, rather than before it. Donald will also restore Sora's HP before the second battle with Larxene, regardless of whether the player chose to save or not.

In this rematch, Larxene's attacks will be the same as those used in the first battle. She only has access to one new Sleight, Teleport Rush, a deadly attack comprised of multiple slash attacks. This can easily deplete Sora's HP to zero or at least the Alarm Zone if one is not careful, so be sure to Card Break this Sleight once Larxene activates it. Use offensive attacks and defense abilities such as Curaga evenly, and Larxene will fall with relative ease.

First battle
First battle
The first battle against Larxene in this version of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories should not be that much of a challenge to a player who knows what they are doing. Friend Cards will be available during the battle, so the player should either save them for Sleights or individual use as Sora starts to run out of cards (only if they are of a high value). The Oogie Boogie and Jafar Enemy Cards will come in handy during this battle, so make sure Sora has enough CP to equip at least one, if not both, of them. Otherwise, he should have a wide value range of Attack and Magic Cards within his deck, one or two cards with a value of zero, an Item Card such as a Potion with a high value needed to fully restore all used cards to Sora's deck if necessary. The player also will need to make sure they have at least one Cure Card with a high value in Sora's deck, as well.

Make sure to have at least one Cure Card with a high value in the deck, as well.

At the start of the battle, immediately Lock-On to Larxene. This will be necessary if one wishes to keep track of her fast movements. She may attempt to slash Sora, but this attack can be avoided with either a Dodge Roll or a Card Break. Her Magic Cards still will cause a barrage of lightning to rain down on Sora, this avoidable only through a Card Break as in the original game. If Larxene stocks two Magic Cards and one Attack Card into a Sleight, prepare for her to use the powerful Mega Volt ability as a result. This Sleight, when executed, will cause Larxene to throw her Foudre Knives to the ground, bombarding Sora with lightning. A Card Break or Sleight of a higher value is the best way to avoid this attack. As Card Breaks will lower Larxene's defenses, this will be the time to attack her with physical combos, magic, or Sleights. Larxene also use another attack, one that involves her simply throwing her Foudre at the player. These projectiles can either be jumped over, dodged with Dodge Roll, or even stopped with a Card Break.

As Larxene's HP starts to dwindle, she will gain access to a new, potentially deadly Sleight, Teleport Rush. During Teleport Rush's execution, Larxene will, as the Sleight's name suggests, teleport rapidly to Sora's location and slash him several times. Each combo can be dodged with Dodge Roll if one has good timing, but it is best that one Card Break this attack before Sora's HP hits the Alarm Zone (often the consequence if one is reckless and attempts to avoid every attack by simply dodging). Her HP now near zero, Larxene's Attack Cards will allow her to slash Sora and then hit him with lightning. Dodge Roll can be used to avoid the combo, but again, it is best if it is Card Broken. Larxene lastly may activate the Yellow Opera Enemy Card, which will increase the damage dealt by her lightning-based attacks a great deal. By attacking when Larxene is either reloading her deck or recovering from a Card Break, knowing when to dodge and use Enemy Cards, as well as not abusing Sleights, the player will be victorious.

Second battle
Second battle
Larxene is back with not only more HP, but also a new Enemy Card (she now has both the Larxene and Yellow Opera Enemy Cards) and a new Sleight. The boss will use many attacks from the first battle, including her slashing combo, the lightning barrage, and the Foudre throwing technique. Her Mega Volt and Teleport Rush Sleights also make a return. Each of these attacks can be avoided with the same strategies used during the first battle. Added to Larxene's arsenal, however, is the Blade Storm Sleight, a powerful combo with some deadly consequences for being hit. During Blade Storm's execution, Larxene will throw her Foudre to all areas of the battlefield, the weapons then firing several beams of lightning in all directions. The beams will move slowly, and if they come in contact with Sora, they will damage him as they lift him off the ground, stunning him when he lands, thus opening him to more punishment from Larxene's attacks.
Larxene returns with more HP and a new Enemy Card (she now has both the Larxene and Yellow Opera Enemy Cards) and a new Sleight. The second battle against Larxene should not be any different than the previous battle. Larxene will use many attacks from the first battle, including her slashing combo, the lightning barrage, and the Foudre throwing technique. Her Mega Volt and Teleport Rush Sleights also make a return. Each of these attacks can be avoided with the same strategies used during the first battle. She also now has the Blade Storm Sleight, which allows her to throw her knives to all areas of the battlefield, which then fire several beams of lightning in all directions. The beams move slowly and will lift Sora off the ground and stun him when he lands. Should Larxene activate her Enemy Card, her speed will greatly increase.

In short, the second battle against Larxene should not be any different for the player. It will just be longer, if not slightly easier because of Sora's possibly increased HP, CP, and amount of available Sleights. It is important, as with the last battle, that the player attack only when Larxene is reloading her deck or recovering from a Card Break. This way, Sora will not take damage from an immediate counterattack. The also player should use Curaga if necessary, as well as make full use of the Oogie Boogie, Jafar, Maleficent, or even Vexen Enemy Cards. Lastly, the player should make sure that they don't abuse Sleights, thus allowing Sora a greater number of cards to use throughout the battle. Should Larxene activate her Enemy Card, her speed will greatly increase, something that will be a great annoyance, but bearable. So long as the player uses the correct strategies to dodge Larxene's attacks and is not reckless, Larxene will fall in due time.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the absence of cards completely changes Larxene's attack style. Fought as an Absent Silhouette, Sora must conquer the phantom version of Larxene with Donald and Goofy at his side. While she now favors the new ability to replicate herself as her main form of offense, Larxene is still just as, if not more, deadly.

At the start of the battle, Larxene's Absent Silhouette will begin charging power, surrounding herself with damaging lightning. The player will then have to dodge three copies of the enemy as they rush in Sora's direction. Utilize High Jump LV2, Reflega, or a well-timed Guard to avoid taking damage. When the Larxene copies have vanished, the player can then proceed to bombard Larxene with physical attacks. One should be careful if using an aerial combo, however, as several clones will rain down from the sky directly above Sora, hitting him with lightning and interrupting any combos the player was using to attack the true boss. If successfully attacks Larxene or one of her body clones, however, a Reaction Command can take place if body clones are present known as Other Break. If Other Break is activated, Sora will grab Larxene by the wrist and throw her into the air. He then will grab her body clone, also by the wrist, and spin her around, lifting her up off the floor. He lastly will hurl the the body clone at the original as she falls back down, causing them to forcibly merge, stunning Larxene for a short time. This consequently will open the boss up for more damage, but the player must remain cautious, as Larxene may come back to her senses and bombard Sora with lightning. Reflega, a chain of Dodge Rolls, or even Quick Run LV2 can be used to avoid this lightning attack, as well as any Thunder spells the boss attempts to hit Sora with.

After about two bars have been depleted from Larxene's total HP, her body clones will begin to attempt a ground assault. Several will rush at Sora either in a straight line or from all directions. Guard or Reflega should be used to avoid the incoming Larxene copies. They also may attempt to slash Sora, his only chance of avoiding damage being Reflega. Not only will the spell prevent damage, but it also will deal a great deal of damage to the boss once the barrier it casts around Sora has been penetrated. If Larxene vanishes and the screen blackens, the player must prepare for a rather deadly desperation attack. During this tactic's execution, the Larxene copies will surround Sora, slashing him before encircling and rushing at him. The true Larxene will then attack Sora from above with a downward slam and a lightning strike. Reflega is a good way to avoid this powerful combo, but should one get caught in it, immediately cast Curaga or use an item such as an Elixir or Megalixir. Larxene's Absent Silhouette will then proceed to reuse previously seen attacks until her HP starts to dwindle.

When Larxene's HP has been depleted to its second-to-last bar, she will charge power, surrounding herself with lightning as she usually does. However, instead of teleporting away to perform a rush attack with her body clones, Larxene will levitate, shining with lightning energy. She then will begin to spin in place as she executes her most devastating attack, one that involves her firing long columns of lightning spheres from her arms in a straight line. These spheres damage whenever touched, so the best way to avoid them is to either stay airborne or remain within the gaps between the two lightning orb columns. This attack has a strong chance of dropping Sora's HP into the Alarm Zone, and if Donald and Goofy either have no items or have been knocked out, immediately use an item on Sora or the Curaga spell. Larxene often will rush at Sora with her copies immediately after this destructive desperation attack, so be prepared to Guard or cast Reflega. From this point forward, Larxene will use all previously seen attacks (including the lightning sphere columns) until her eventual defeat.

In terms of things to remember during the battle with Larxene's Absent Silhouette and how to best prepare for it, it is important that the player not cast any Thunder spells during the battle, as Larxene is immune to them and will just absorb the attack. One should utilize Other Break if possible, as this will not only open the Absent Silhouette to more damage, but it also will cause her body clones to vanish for a time. Equip Sora with plenty of Elixirs and Megalixirs, and also ensure that he has the Curaga and Reflega spells in his magic shortcut menu for easy defensive and recovery use. The player should make sure Sora is of a relatively high level and that they have maxed out the levels of his Drive Forms, equipping their unique abilities so he may dodge Larxene's attacks with greater success. Sora, Donald, and Goofy should lastly be equipped with armor such as the Thunder Trinket or the Petite Ribbon and Grand Ribbon to minimize the damage caused by Larxene's lightning-based attacks. So long as one knows the correct time to be both offensive and defensive, heals when necessary, and uses special techniques such as Limits wisely, Larxene's Absent Silhouette should fall with relatively moderate ease.

Data Rematch
The battle against Larxene's Data Rematch will flow quite similarly to the battle against her Absent Silhouette. The only differences will be the amount of HP the boss has and the pattern in which she uses her attacks. In short and aside from these minor differences, the battle against this Data Replica should not be difficult. All the player must do is recall the strategy used in the Absent Silhouette battle and use the Other Break Reaction Command if necessary. Sora also should be of a relatively high level, using spells such as Curaga and Reflega, as well as Drive Forms and a powerful Keyblade such as the Ultima Weapon. Defeat Larxene's Data Replica, and a Vanished Vision will be obtained.

Card values
It is important, as with the last battle, to attack only when Larxene is reloading her deck or recovering from a Card Break. This way, Sora will not take damage from an immediate counterattack. Be sure to heal if necessary, as well as make full use of the Oogie Boogie, Jafar, Maleficent, or even Vexen Enemy Cards. Make sure not to abuse Sleights, allowing Sora a greater number of cards to use throughout the battle.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
Absent Silhouette
Larxene appears as an Absent Silhouette, found at the entrance of Isla de Muerte in Port Royal during Sora's first visit. It is not advised to fight Larxene during Sora's first trip to Port Royal, as this portion of the fight requires a dodging ability that Sora most likely does not have at the time. Due to the absence of card-based combat, her moveset is completely different from the one she utilized in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.

It is important not to cast any Thunder spells during the battle, as Larxene will just absorb the attack. Utilize Merge if possible, as this will not only open Larxene to more damage, but it also will cause her clones to vanish for a time. Equip Sora with plenty of healing items, especially Elixirs and Megalixirs, and also ensure that he has the Cure and Reflect spells in his magic shortcut menu for easy defensive and recovery use. Make sure Sora is of a relatively high level and has maxed out the levels of his Drive Forms, so he can dodge Larxene's attacks with greater success. Sora, Donald, and Goofy should also be equipped with armor such as the Thunder Trinket or the Petite Ribbon and Grand Ribbon to minimize the damage caused by Larxene's lightning-based attacks.

At the start of the battle, Larxene will begin charge and surround herself with damaging lightning. Sora will immediately have to quickly dodge or block three copies as they rush in his direction. Utilize High Jump LV2, Reflect, or a well-timed Guard to avoid taking damage. Larxene with reappear with a clone of herself, and proceed to attack Sora at intervals. If Sora successfully hits Larxene or her clone with a ground or aerial combo finisher while the other is not in the middle of an attack, the Reaction Command "Merge" may appear. If Merge is used, Sora will grab Larxene by the wrist and throw her into the air. He will then grab her clone and spin her around, lifting her up off the floor. He will then hurl the clone at the original Larxene as she falls back down, causing them to forcibly merge, stunning her for a short time. This will consequently open Larxene up for more damage, but remain cautious, as Larxene may return to her senses and bombard Sora with lightning. Reflect, a chain of Dodge Rolls, or Quick Run LV2 can be used to avoid this lightning attack, as well as any Thunder spells she attempts to use. Sora can interrupt her in-between attacks, though he should be quick when moving in.

Larxene's clones share HP with her, so wide-range attacks like Final Form Firaga, Genie's summon limits, Donald's Comet limit, Reflect, and Explosion can be used to deal increased damage if they hit the clones as well. For this reason, it may not always be worth using the Merge Reaction Command as soon as it appears.

After about two bars have been depleted from Larxene's total HP, her clones will begin to attempt a ground assault. Several will rush at Sora either in a straight line with a long delay, or from all directions with a shorter delay. Guard or Reflega should be used to avoid the incoming clones. They may also attempt to slash Sora in droves, a well-timed Guard or Reflect will protect him. Not only will the Reflect prevent damage, but may also deal damage to Larxene. If she vanishes and the screen blackens, be prepared for a rather deadly desperation attack. During this tactic's execution, the Larxene clones will surround and slash Sora, before encircling and rushing at him. The true Larxene will then attack Sora from above with a downward slam and a lightning strike. At least three timed Guards are needed to avoid damage; one for the assault, one for the encircling attack, and one for the downward slam, though Reflect magic is a good option. Should Sora get caught in it, immediately cast Cure or use any kind of healing item, Elixirs and Hi-Potions recommended. Larxene will then proceed to reuse previously seen attacks until her HP starts to dwindle.

When Larxene's HP has been depleted to its second-to-last bar, she will charge power and surround herself with lightning as she usually does. However, instead of teleporting away to perform a rush attack with her clones, Larxene will teleport to the center, adjust her hair, then levitate while glowing with lightning energy. She will then begin to spin in place as she executes her most devastating attack, which involves her firing long columns of lightning spheres from her arms in a straight line as lightning bolts are periodically called down on Sora's location. These spheres deal damage when touched, so the best way to avoid them is to either stay airborne or remain within the gaps between the two lightning orb columns. If either Donald or Goofy have not been KO'd, initiate a Limit, as it will nullify all incoming damage and may even damage Larxene should it outlast the attack. This attack has a strong chance of dropping Sora's HP into the Alarm Zone, and if Donald or Goofy either have no items or have been knocked out, prioritize healing Sora immediately. Larxene will often rush at Sora with her copies immediately after this destructive desperation attack, so be prepared to Guard or cast Reflect. From this point forward, Larxene will use all previously seen attacks (including the lightning sphere columns).

Data Rematch
The battle against Larxene's Data Rematch will flow similarly to the battle against her Absent Silhouette. The only differences will be the amount of HP she has and the pattern in which she uses her attacks. Simply recall the strategy used in the Absent Silhouette battle and use the "Merge" Reaction Command if necessary. Sora also should be of a relatively high level, using spells such as Curaga and Reflega, as well as Drive Forms and a powerful Keyblade such as the Ultima Weapon. Defeating Larxene's Data Rematch will reward a Lost Illusion.

Kingdom Hearts III
Larxene serves as one of the bosses of the Keyblade Graveyard, fought alongside Marluxia and Luxord against Sora and Mickey. After Sora defeats Luxord and rescues Mickey, the fight with Larxene and Marluxia will begin. The duo will open the battle by utilizing their desperation attacks. Larxene will elongate her knives into claws and zip around the room as a bolt of lightning, emerging to slash at Sora with her claws. Marluxia, meanwhile, will repeatedly toss his scythe at Sora, which will wheel around the room before Marluxia appears to catch it again. After several attempts, Larxene and Marluxia will leap into the air and slam the ground with their weapons, conjuring multiple pillars of lightning and covering the floor with a pool of darkness respectively. The best way to avoid this attack is via use of Glide.

Once the attack ends, the fight resumes as normal. It is recommended to defeat Larxene first as it will make avoiding Marluxia's ultimate attack easier and defeating Marluxia first will make avoiding Larxene's ultimate attack a bit harder as she can track Sora in the air. Larxene has a few attacks at her disposal. Her most often used attack is to swipe at Sora with her knives in a four-hit combo, usually ending with her backflipping into the air and tossing her knives in an arc, leaving sparks that linger on the ground. These sparks will trigger Risk Dodge if blocked. If Sora quickly uses Risk Dodge after blocking her sparks, Larxene will be open and vulnerable to a combo or two.  She may also jump into the air and slam the ground, creating five pillars of lightning around her. While using Risk Dodge, Sora will not be damaged if Larxene uses her lightning pillar attack, and she will be left open for a combo if his attacks connect.

Due to Larxene's quick movements, Formchanges associated with Blitz Form such as Blizzard Blades and Nano Gear are recommended choices. Likewise, the Highwind and Storm Flag Formchanges are also good options for their fast attacks. Overall, Larxene is not a difficult boss and as long Sora heals when necessary, Larxene will fall with ease.

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Larxene's data returns as an optional boss in this DLC. Her attacks have been highly upgraded. It is heavily recommended to disable Aerial Dodge for this fight, as Air Slide will be more effective. Also, keep Curaga and Aeroga in your shortcuts, as they will be a big help.

She mainly uses her same attacks from the base game, but performs them much more frequently. Her old knife slash and throw combo is slightly modified, as now she will slash twice, backflip away, than slash four more times, before ending with throwing the knives to create lingering sparks which will break Sora's guard if he blocks. She is vulnerable the moment the combo ends, telegraphed by her teleporting away. Guard the slashes and the sparks, and quickly use Risk Dodge to get behind her and attack. If Larxene starts this attack from some distance away, note that her first two slashes may miss - judge the distance and time your guard accordingly. If you miss the timing on the slashes and are in the air when she throws the knives, perform an aerial block to avoid further damage, though you will not be able to risk dodge to punish.

Larxene can also use her old lightning pillar attacks from the base game, but now in a combo. If Larxene starts sprinting, then she will jump and summon five lightning pillars around her, slash twice, and jump to summon five more pillars. She is vulnerable immediately after the combo, so dodge away from the whole combo, and quickly airstep to her and attack. An alternate way to do this is a well timed Keyblade swing right before her first lightning pillar hits, and then an immediate combo. This requires precise timing, however, so if you are uncomfortable with doing the swing because you might get hurt, then simply dodge away and wait for the combo to end before attacking.

She can also throw rows of lightning pillars at Sora from a distance. If she starts this out of the blue, she will throw three fast pillars and be vulnerable after the third. Approach her position and dodge the rows, or alternatively airstep after the third row if you're still too far away.

If Larxene turns into a spark and darts around five times, it is a taunt and lead-in to one of three attack patterns. She will dart two more times and then take another action:
* If Larxene approaches from the air on the left, she will do a lightning pillar jump, spark twice and dash, spark twice and dash again, and finish by throwing her knives. Dodge the pillar jump, block or dodge the dashes when she sparks twice, then block and risk dodge the thrown knives for a chance to attack.
* If Larxene approaches from the ground on the right, she will slash twice, spark twice, slash twice, then teleport away and throw a single row of slow-moving lightning pillars. Block the two sets of slashes, then start focus to watch Larxene. Don't airstep immediately - wait for her to land on the ground by watching the target reticle, then airstep to attack. Airstepping too early may make Larxene teleport away. If you fail to punish, she will perform one quick dash and then start a different move.
* If Larxene appears far away, she will throw four short rows of lightning pillars before rising into the sky and diving onto Sora from above - this dive will deal three blockable hits before finishing with one unblockable slam. Dodge the rows and be prepared to block three hits from above, then use a reprisal to get a chance to attack.

After about half her health has been depleted, she will perform her ultimate attack, where she will summon numerous clones of herself. The move begins by Larxene teleporting to the center of the arena, glowing gold with electricity, then summoning a red orb that fires shadow clones - block this attack. Afterward, two clones will appear, disappear, then quickly re-appear - hit one clone to destroy it, then be prepared to block a sky dive from the remaining clone - three hits and a reprisal, as before. Two more clones will appear and repeat the process twice, for a total of six clones. Note that the reprisal from dealing with the first set of clones may destroy the second set in the crossfire, meaning the process only has to be done two times instead of three. Alternatively, destroying all six clones right as they appear can skip the move entirely, though the timing is tight - attack once and roll, repeating until all six clones are destroyed. Another method to defeat the clones is via using either a high-area finisher, like Double Form or Ultimate Form, or simply using Aeroga magic. Thunder is useless, as Larxene and her clones will simply absorb the electricity. Once this phase is done, Larxene will summon a row of red orbs, which fire shadow clones that must be blocked.

Three Larxenes will appear in front of Sora, and the middle one will glow gold and then dash - this is a feint, so do not block yet. The clone on the right will start running, then flip, and slash twice - block these. The clone on the left will repeat the same thing, so carefully block once more. A Larxene will appear in the air and throw her knives, which mist be blocked and risk dodged - failing to do so will cause Sora to get hit by a second Larxene that throws her knives into the same spot. After this, Larxene will summon another cluster of red orbs that fire shadows - block these.

Four Larxenes will appear, and then one will perform a two-hit combo that can break Sora's guard on the second hit. Block, risk dodge, and reprisal, then block and prepare to do the same thing two more times. After the third time, Larxene will do a sky dive - block three hits and reprisal the fourth hit. Larxene and her clones will then create a large circle of lightning around Sora - use Doubleflight to gain height, and then air slide away to safety as Larxene launches a large explosion to end her ultimate attack. Start focus and watch Larxene as she does two sparks, then lands on the ground - airstep to her for a chance to attack. It is possible to airstep earlier, when Larxene is in the air with a sphere of knives around her, however the timing is much tighter.

At about three health bars remaining, Larxene will do a shorter variation of her ultimate attack. She will summon five clones, dash at Sora four times, and do a lightning pillar jump - block the four dash hits and dodge the pillar jump. She will perform another four dashes, followed by a sky dive - block the four dash hits, block three hits of the dive, and then reprisal. The five clones will re-appear around the arena and throw rows of lightning pillars - run forward past the clones, dodging any pillars in the way, and then Larxene will create the large circle of lighthing again - use Doubleflight and air slide away, as before. Airstep to attack once she sparks twice and lands on the ground, as before.

Larxene appears as a boss in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, while she is first fought by Sora because she is merely "playing with him", Larxene faces him a second time with a goal of elimination in mind after she learns of Axel's betrayal.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, her Absent Silhouette and Data Rematch appear as optional boss.

In Kingdom Hearts III, Larxene, along with Luxord and Marluxia appear as a boss battle in the Keyblade Graveyard. A data replica of her is also a optional boss in Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind.

Strategy[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories[edit]

First battle[edit]

For the first battle against Larxene, make sure to have relatively even HP and CP. This should be done to make sure that Sora will not only have a decent amount of cards in his deck, shortening the time spent reloading and worrying about an eventual lack of cards, but also that he will not be defeated by Larxene's first few attacks.

At the start of the battle, begin to attack Larxene with Sleights and either Magic or Attack Cards. Be wise when carrying out these attacks, especially when Sora's cards are being used in Sleights. Larxene will mainly use cards of a relatively low value, so her slashing attacks can be easily Card Broken. If not stopped they will hit multiple times, however, Sora may then need to use a Donald card (in the hopes that he uses Cure or one of its upgrades) or a Cure card to heal himself immediately afterwards. Using the Donald card is risky, however, as he may cast Thunder on Larxene, which will heal her. Larxene may also use an Attack Card to throw her Foudre at Sora, this can be avoided by simply running out of the way. Larxene's Magic Cards cause her to cast a Thundaga spell at Sora, something easily avoided through Dodge Roll or a Card Break. Larxene will only use one Sleight to counter, Lightning Bolt, which causes her to shoot lightning from the tips of her Foudre at Sora, drawing him closer to her and stunning him for a time, opening him up to an attack. When Larxene's HP dwindles, her Magic Card will change so that she can bombard Sora with slashes and then a Thunder spell, something best avoided through a Card Break.

While the battle with Larxene will be tedious, Enemy Cards such as Oogie Boogie and Jafar can make the battle a lot easier.

Second battle[edit]

Larxene takes a final stand against Sora and has higher HP. This not only means the battle will be a lot longer, but that Larxene will be much more powerful. Donald and Goofy return to aid Sora during the battle, allowing the use of Friend Cards. Make use of Sora's arsenal of Sleights. Enemy Cards like Jafar, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Oogie Boogie will also be useful, and before activating the cutscene that leads to the battle by talking to a defeated Riku Replica, be sure to head back to the Destiny Islands and save the game. This will restore Sora's HP and can be used to restart the battle with Larxene. Donald will also restore Sora's HP before the second battle with Larxene, regardless.

In this rematch, Larxene's attacks will be the same as those used in the first battle. She only has access to one new Sleight, Teleport Rush, a deadly attack comprised of multiple slash attacks. This can easily deplete Sora's HP to zero or at least the Alarm Zone if not careful, so be sure to Card Break this Sleight once Larxene activates it. Use offensive attacks and defense abilities such as Curaga evenly, and Larxene will fall with relative ease.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories[edit]

Intro of the battle against Larxene
Larxene battles Sora in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.

First battle[edit]

The first battle against Larxene should not be that much of a challenge. Friend Cards will be available during the battle, so they should either be saved for Sleights or individual use as Sora starts to run out of cards (only if they are a high value). The Oogie Boogie and Jafar Enemy Cards will come in handy during this battle, so make sure Sora has enough CP to equip at least one, if not both. Otherwise, he should have a wide value range of Attack and Magic Cards within his deck, one or two cards with a value of zero, an Item Card such as a Potion with a high value to fully restore all used cards to Sora's deck if necessary. Make sure to have at least one Cure Card with a high value in the deck, as well.

At the start of the battle, immediately Lock-On to Larxene to keep track of her fast movements. She may attempt to slash Sora, but this attack can be avoided with either a Dodge Roll or a Card Break. Her Magic Cards still will cause a barrage of lightning to rain down on Sora, this avoidable only through a Card Break. If Larxene stocks two Magic Cards and one Attack Card into a Sleight, prepare for her to use the powerful Mega Volt ability. This Sleight has Larxene throw her Foudre to the ground and bombard Sora with lightning. A Card Break or Sleight of a higher value is the best way to avoid this attack. As Card Breaks will lower Larxene's defenses, this will be the time to attack her with physical combos, magic, or Sleights. Larxene will also simply throw her Foudre at Sora. These projectiles can either be jumped over, dodged with Dodge Roll, or stopped with a Card Break.

As Larxene's HP starts to dwindle, she will gain access to a new and potentially deadly Sleight, Teleport Rush. During Teleport Rush's execution, Larxene will teleport rapidly to Sora's location and slash him several times. With good timing, each combo can be dodged with Dodge Roll, but it is best to Card Break this attack before Sora's HP hits the Alarm Zone. At low HP, Larxene's Attack Cards will allow her to slash Sora and then hit him with lightning. Dodge Roll can be used to avoid the combo, but again, it is best if it is Card Broken. Larxene may activate the Yellow Opera Enemy Card, which will increase the damage dealt by her lightning-based attacks.

Second battle[edit]

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix[edit]

Absent Silhouette[edit]

Larxene appears as an Absent Silhouette, found at the entrance of Isla de Muerte in Port Royal during Sora's first visit. It is not advised to fight Larxene during Sora's first trip to Port Royal, as this portion of the fight requires a dodging ability that Sora most likely does not have at the time. Due to the absence of card-based combat, her moveset is completely different from the one she utilized in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.

Larxene's Absent Silhouette
Larxene's Absent Silhouette engages in combat.

Data Rematch[edit]

Data Larxene before battling Sora in the Garden of Assemblage.
Larxene's Replica Data engages in combat.

Kingdom Hearts III[edit]

Retrying against Marluxia and Larxene featuring Luxord's cards
Marluxia and Larxene fighting against Sora while Luxord is hiding behind his cards.

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind[edit]

Data Larxene when retrying her data-fight.
Larxene's recreated data engaging in combat against Sora's data.

 • If Larxene approaches from the air on the left, she will do a lightning pillar jump, spark twice and dash, spark twice and dash again, and finish by throwing her knives. Dodge the pillar jump, block or dodge the dashes when she sparks twice, then block and risk dodge the thrown knives for a chance to attack.
 • If Larxene approaches from the ground on the right, she will slash twice, spark twice, slash twice, then teleport away and throw a single row of slow-moving lightning pillars.
 • If Larxene appears far away, she will throw four short rows of lightning pillars before rising into the sky and diving onto Sora from above - this dive will deal three blockable hits before finishing with one unblockable slam.
