Shell is an ability introduced in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. It reduces the damage the user takes from magical attacks. In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, this is done through the Shell status effect.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Shell is an enemy card effect that costs 50 CP to add to the deck and lasts for five hits. It halves the damage received from all attacks in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, and from Fire, Ice, and Lightning attacks in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Shell is an Overclock ability that vastly reduces damage from magic attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Shell is an ability that halves the damage the user takes from Fire-, Blizzard-, Thunder-, and Dark-elemental attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Shell is a magic command that gives one ally the Shell status for 20 seconds.
