Drain (ドレイン Dorein ) is an ability introduced in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. It allows the user to restore HP when landing attacks. In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, this is done through the Drain status effect.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Drain is an enemy card effect that allows Sora to regain HP equivalent to 1/8 of the target's remaining HP (max recovery is 20) when striking enemies with attack cards, in exchange for enemies dropping 25% fewer EXP items. It costs 35 CP to add to the deck and lasts for one reload.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Drain is an ability that restores the user's HP by 1/4 of the damage dealt with regular attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Drain is an Overclock ability that allows Data-Sora to recover HP when striking enemies with basic attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Drain is a magic command that gives one ally the Drain status for 10 seconds, which applies on the Attack command.
