The Play Arts Figures are a set of officially-licensed action figures for Kingdom Hearts, and are part of Square-Enix's much larger Play Arts Figures set. So far, one offical set based on Kingdom Hearts II has been released, with four numbered figures and four special edition figures. lef
Series One Figures
Each figure is fully articulated and comes with one or two props related to the game, especially weapons. The figures were released as follows:
- 1. Sora, in his standard gear. Comes with the Kingdom Key.
- 2. Roxas, in his Virtual Twilight Town outfit. Comes with the Kingdom Key
- 3. Kairi, in her school outfit from the Destiny Islands. Comes with her school bag.
- 4. Axel, in his standard Organization XIII outfit. Comes with two chakrams.
In addition, four special edition figures of Sora were released, one for each of his Drive Forms.
- Valor Form Sora, with the Fenrir and Fatal Crest Keyblades.
- Wisdom Form Sora, with the Follow the Wind Keyblade.
- Master Form Sora, with the Guardian Soul and Circle of Life Keyblades.
- Final Form Sora, with the Sleeping Lion and Hero's Crest Keyblades.
A fifth special edition figure from Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, was released later:
- Limit Form Sora, with the Kingdom Key.
Play Arts Arms
In August 2008, a set of five extra Keyblades, called Play Arts Arms were released to go with the existing Play Arts Figures or to display separately. The collection includes:
- Oblivion
- Oathkeeper
- Three Wishes
- Ultima Weapon (Kingdom Hearts version)
- Ultima Weapon (Kingdom Hearts II version)
Upcoming Figures
At Comic-Con, new figures were on display, and these were
- Organization Cloak Mickey, with his Inverse Key Keyblade.
- Kingdom Hearts Sora, with no keyblade. This figure was an unpainted prototype.
- Kingdom Hearts Riku, with Soul Eater.
Series 1 are slated for December 2008 release in Japan.
- Halloween Town Sora, Pumpkinhead is assumed.
