WARNING: The below strategy contains spoilers.
User tip: Julius Fight.
Have about 2 or 3 slots open for Mega Potions, this is going to be a long fight. Have the rest of the Command Slots open for the following three spells (Since I like to use magic in this fight.): Blizzaga, Balloon, and/or Balloonga. I highly recommend not to have Balloonra since the animation time is longer than Balloon and Balloonga. I have also chosen Blizzaga since the ice chunks hits the enemy three times in succession.
Julius' attacks are listed in his page, so it's not necessary to list them again. With the exception of the Multi-Ground Pound from the top of the skyscraper (Yes he can perform this while not charged with lightning; though it will not lock up one of your commands when your hit by it.); the elbow drop; grab move; when he runs; and when he slams his hands to the ground and looks around, all of his attacks are blockable.
- When Julius starts to preform an elbow drop, you can either drop a Balloon/Balloonga spell and Dodge Roll to avoid taking damage; or you can just Dodge Roll and cast a Blizzaga spell.
- When Julius decides to attack with his fists, just block it with Guard and Counterattack. When attacking with his combo attack: -- As Sora: About the 3rd or 4th swing, block it and counterattack. -- As Riku: About the 5th or 6th swing (maybe), same rule applies, block then counterattack.
- You don't need to worry about when Julius starts to run, as he will run in a random direction, turn around, and run for a brief second before coming to a screeching halt. If you are in the way when this happens, drop a Balloon/Balloonga spell and Dodge Roll to avoid damage. If not, just cast Balloonga.
- Get ready to mash that block button for when Julius starts to charge himself with electricity to Guard yourself against the raining lightning bolts. You might still take some damage even when doing this, but if you do it right, you might take at least one or two strikes of lightning.
- When charged with electricity, you MUST (And I repeat: you MUST) block his punch attacks at close range with Guard. And if you are out of range, then you MUST use Dodge roll to avoid the aftershock caused by his attacks.
- Perhaps one of his most dangerous attacks is the almost unavoidable Multi-Ground Pound where Julius jumps to the near top of the skyscraper, leaps off, and performs a series of ground pounds that can cause damage between minimal and lethal. When not charged, the damage is minimal to medium depending on your level. When charged, damage is either massive or even lethal also depending on your level. The charged one also can slow down one of your commands to a mere crawl. Make sure that you have a potion as the command ready to use to avoid you best command from being locked up, although this method might cost one potion to be destroyed.
This strategy was used by me at around level 50+ on the Standard Difficulty.
