Is it really necesary to have that "spelling" joke in the original paragraph? In my opinion, it just makes the page look unprofessional and un-wiki-worthy.

KrytenKoro - "That's when we bumped into Hannity. Sean Hannity. See the thing about this dude is, at first he's fair, right? And you're like "Wow!" But then BOOM. The dude's balanced, too. And you're like, HOLY SHIT."
TALK -
It's...It's Tigger, man. C'mon.

Interdiction KHD.png Besides, the way he pronounces it like that is reflective of his personality.

Maybe I'm jaded, not ever having been exposed to Winnie The Pooh, and personally detesting all of the characters and settings, but I think that it's jarring compared to the near-professional standard of most of this wiki. Also, I don't think the fact that it's reflective of his personality is really good enough rationalization, as no other character has something like that in the opening line of their page. Put it in a quote, if you must.

Interdiction KHD.png It is reflective of his nature as a child's (Christopher Robin's) imaginary friend/character/what have you. That and it is the way he pronounces his name. There's no joke to be found in the article, it's just a piece of information about one of Tigger's habits, like Axel's "Got it memorized?".

It is a joke, a joke told in-game, but a joke none the less. However, if you take it as just a habit, I would like to ask what would happen if someone decided to put "Got it memorized?" or something similar into the "Axel" page's opening sentence instead of in a quote like it is now, and then defended it with "It's Axel. Get over it."

Interdiction KHD.png Alright, I concede that it isn't quite the same as Axel's catchphrase. It's less of a verbal tick, and more just the way his name is pronounced/spelled. It is a joke within the context of tigger's scenes, but it is not a joke in the article. It's a statement. If the sentence were worded like this: Tigger, spelled T-I-double-guh-ER, blah blah blah. it would indeed be unprofessional. But it's not. It's Tigger, spelled T-I-double-guh-ER by Tigger himself, blah blah blah. The "by Tigger himself" bit makes it clear that the spelling is a trait of Tigger's, not just a joke the article's author(s) are using. I'm giving you plenty more reasons than "It's Tigger, get over it".

I was actually referring to the reactions I got from Kryten on this page, and someone in the IRC. Anyway, People go to a wiki to gather information, correct? Ergo, you would want to put relevant, mature information on the wiki for them to access. Now, I ask you, why, in a wiki mostly full of this relevant, mature information, in the forms of well-laid out, well-written pages, is there ONE page that contains an in-joke that makes the whole article seem childish? On any other article, that would be relegated to the "quotes" section, or at least the "Trivia" one. No other article on this, or any good wiki that I know of, has information stated by the character in the main article itself. If people want that info, they would look in Quotes and/or Trivia. I'm not going to change it, but can this article please adhere to the high maturity level of the rest of the wiki?

Interdiction KHD.png It's a character trait, that is information. The way it is worded and placed in the article is not immature. The only reason the quote seems immature is because that is the point of the Winnie the Pooh characters. They are immature. The're literally a children's storybook's characters. But whatever, I really don't feel like debating whether or not Tigger is mature with you. If you want to move it, I have two things to note; 1) Trivia is teh ebils, so we do everything we can to merge trivia points into the article. Don't put it in the trivia. 2) If you put it in the Quotes, be sure to get the whole quote from the game.

Interdiction KHD.png 1) This is argument is done. 2) To Falcos, as I said before, there was nothing unprofessional about the way the article was before, at least in my opinion. 3) Read #1.

Just to explain myself, I guess it was too subtle: if you are writing an article about a nonsensical character, such as Tigger or Spongebob, it is absolutely worthless to write about it as if you were writing a dissection of the themes of poverty and misanthropism in "Great Expectations". It both ignores what makes the character important, and is absolutely out of tone with the article, making the writer end up sounding insane.

480MS.png If you want to mention any Nick-type characters, add some Warner Brothers characters into it, like Tweety Bird or Bugs Bunny. It's kind of too dirty for a Disney wiki to mention one anti-Disney character. It's safer to be clean by mentioning characters from BOTH anti-Disney places. Sorry, but I swear that if one os mentioned without the other, I can get over-grossed, y'know.
