Riku[edit]

Riku's keyblade does not represent darkness, as his is the one that represents the realm of twilight, Mickey's keyblade actually represents the darkness as it was found from the world of darkness and it is the keyblade of the realm of darkness, just to point that out. this shouldn't really be discussed in the article about light. i understand that keyblades are made from the light of the worlds but it isnt really necessary to talk about the keyblades of sora or mickey or even riku and Xehanort as we dont really know if Xehanort's keyblade is of darkness, its all speculation at this point, i think we should really wait to write this article as we dont really have a solid explanation of what light really is and what it really does. what we do know though is that it has the power to create, as the light form kiari created a new body for sora, it creates the keyblades, it even gives life (so perhaps the ability of tinker bell can be said to be a power of light), it is the only force that can stand up to the darkness that plagues the realm of light in the form of the heartless, light has the ability to defy the logic of the worlds as beings of light if they so believed can travel to other worlds without a vessal ( in the first game where beast was able to travel to hallow bastion without a vessal, riku also mentioned that he did not use the power of darkness (a.k.a the corridors of darkness) to travel there either, so light must of been involved in his travel in some way, as he said he just believe and he appeared, in the end of kingdom hearts 2 where sora was able to open the door to the realm of light, each events dealing with the power that is not darkness and defies the natural law of the kh universe. Notes about Keyblades[edit]

TALK - Yeild not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them.
I've encountered many people editing the articles of Light and Darkness using knowledge simply from the games themselves and speculation among the community. I'll note it here (and possibly in Darkness) that it was stated in "Another Report" from Nomura that "Riku's "Way to the Dawn" and Kairi's keyblade are naturally the same type of keyblade as Sora's." With that noted, our editors should probably read deeper into the Kingdom Hearts universe (as it is also found as a Novel for the games) with the rather large timeline and ever expanding focus of the game.

Is it really?[edit]

Is this article really a stub? There seems to be alot of info. there..--Xion4ever 18:15, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Unversedlogo.png I did a little bit, but the uses of Light and all that from Birth by Sleep needs to be added to the article.

Light-based attacks[edit]

This section seems very subjective to me, especially with entries like Darkstrom. The only way to really determine if a technique is light based is if it does light (or holy) damage. Sadly the holy element is often listed as "Other" in the status resistances because its that uncommon. --ShardofTruth 11:07, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Well in 3D, the Holy element exists... and I believe such commands as Salvation and Holy fall under that. I haven't quite checked the full list. When you said you were the fun one on the lane, who was your competition? The mailbox? - Erry 11:42, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
Yes, they definitely do and the Holy element must exist as well before KH3D, even it it wasn't mentioned directly. But it could be helpful that KH3D classifies attacks or abilities more directly, so we could draw conclusions from that about that attacks and abilities they were already introduced. I think the main problem are attacks like "Ragnarok", "Ars Arcanum", "Explosion", "Finishing Leap" and "Darkstrom". Are they really light attack just because they're glowing? Doesn't Ragnarok deal non-elemental damage for example? But maybe I'm getting on the wrong track here. For example in Final Fantasy X there is exactly one spell that deals holy damage, although the holy resistance can not be scanned in the game, every guide list it for every enemy, which is not the case for one KH game except KH3D it seems. --ShardofTruth 14:23, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
I'd think such attacks as those would be non-elemental, since they don't have a specific element to that that adds up to being Holy-magic, such as Faith/Holy/Pearl, Salvation. They appear almost identical to with common sense, they'd be put under Holy. The only thing from that list that looks as close to Holy as the spells I mentioned is Explosion. I feel like we'll be handling it like Aero (element), so only the light attacks from KH3D will be covered as light element.

That reminds me, Dark (element) still needs to be done... --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 18:47, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

You're right Neumannz, this is the only way to go. So we'll make a Holy (element) page for KH3D which will most likely only include Trinity Limit, Salvation and Faith (or whatever its dubbed this time), make links to other forms of holy in the introduction and remove the parapraph on this page completely. Explosion and Magic Hour (the Aqua version) may look like light spells but if they're doing only non-elemental (other) damage there is no way to tell.
Also Neumannz how about a navigation template for the Elements or including them in the Game Mechanics one? --ShardofTruth 20:29, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Hey, should the ability Finishing Blast be added under the "Forms" section? It's only usable in Lion Form in the Pride Lands, and it seems to be Light-based. KHFan592 03:11, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Because no attack deals light damage in KHII apparently, this wouldn't be a light based attack either. This whole section will be removed once the Holy (element) page is ready. --ShardofTruth 12:27, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
What all is covered under "Other" (neutral?) besides Holy? Also, given that Neutral-elemental attacks in KHI and KHII evade physical resistance, should it be identified as Nil (element)? And do we feel like making a Physical (element)?192.249.47.177 20:06, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
