Boss section not needed[edit]
Why is the boss section included? It's pointless, at least, i think so.
Silly sentence[edit]
quote from article: "Deep Jungle didn't appear in this game as in the first Kingdom Hearts. Sora crash lands the ship and lands in the treehouse and it was an accidental memory so it never appeared in Castle Oblivion."
This doesn't make sense. Who said that accidental memories don't appear in castle oblivion? Remember when (in CoM) the three were talking about memories and Sora said something about donald hitting him when he was a heartless. That was accidental but they didn't forget. I think we should change this, correct me if i'm wrong. Morning Star 14:09, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
The real reason the Deep Jungle didn't appear was Disney and Square Enix had a hard time getting copyrights to use Tarzan related topics. Because when they came back and the maker is all like NO! they just left it out. They had an easier time getting The Nightmare Before Christmas copyrights.--PrincessAndie8thprincessofheart 20:31, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Wait so if it is a trilogy, there is KHI, KHII, and. . . ? Anyway What I said was what I heard on another website that was made by the creators of KH--PrincessAndie8thprincessofheart 21:04, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Multiplayer[edit]
Why isn't there a section about the multiplayer? In the info box it says that there is a link mode, but there isn't anything about it in the article. I didn't even know about a two player on CoM!--Hulon2 15:02, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Needs to be in lead[edit]
"Also, I thought it would be interesting to use another “internet” word like in COM and Coded, and I wanted to make it be shortened as BBS (electronic bulletin board) which “connects” people. And I wanted to put the word “sleep” in the title as well, so it became “Birth by Sleep”."

Worth a Mention?[edit]
Would mentioning any scrapped material in the trivia section be worth it? Examples:
- The earliest scans of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories featured PS2 graphics.
- The Awakening, Deep Jungle and the End of the World were originally planned to be included.
--XYZ. 06:39, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
- I would word it something like, "Early proposals for Chain of Memories had less mobile battles, like an early Final Fantasy game but with attacks decided by cards. These proposals used CGI graphics similar to the Playstation games, rather then the sprites used throughout the finished project, and planned on reusing all worlds form Kingdom Hearts, including the Awakening, Deep Jungle, and End of the World."Glorious CHAOS! 15:30, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
Kh:com vs. Kh:re:com[edit]
What is the difference between Chain of Memories, and RE Chain Of Memories?? User:Dbdbzdbgtwoo/sig2 22:23, November 26, 2010 (UTC)
One is for the Nintendo GBA, the other is for the PS2. One is 2D 256-bit sprites, the other is 100% 3D colored and rendered models. One was released with KH2FM, the other wasn't. You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance. - Erry 00:27, November 30, 2010 (UTC)~
Japanese Box Cover[edit]
The Japanese Box Cover looks long, what do you think is in there?
Development[edit]
Should there be a development section? KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 17:17, 24 July 2011 (EDT)
- Yes."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 00:47, 25 July 2011 (EDT)
Soras Story?[edit]
I'm asking myself, why are you using "Sora's Story" and "Reverse/Rebirth"? Why not the given "Journal" and "D Report" instead? Sum2k3 19:59, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- On this page, because those are what the actual journal entries are named. Or at least, was. I think they changed the name in Re:CoM, we need to check that.
- On another note: for world/game journal entries, and the album pics in KHII, I have the idea for a template meant to actually look like Jiminy's Journal; so, there would be one journal entry per page, and you can turn the pages to get the next two. Album pics could open up the image for larger review on the pages. I'm not sure if this will work with common tabs we have now, but I'm pretty sure it can be done with the dynamic tabs I'm trying to get the coding for.
- Note to Neumannz: DON'T LET ME FORGET THIS!"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:24, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- Actually I meant this thing. so you named it like its entry in the journal, ok.
New template sounds great. Sum2k3 05:12, 9 March 2012 (UTC)- New question: What do the CoM, ReCoM, and 1.5 versions call Sora's story mode?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 09:55, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- Actually I meant this thing. so you named it like its entry in the journal, ok.
Missing characters[edit]
Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto are all missing from the characters section. I'd add them myself, but I'm not quite sure which world they'd go under.--Burgundy 22:37, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
KH:COM versus KHCOM[edit]
|
- No, because it's not incorrect. It's the only game whose official title (besides the Re: games) includes that colon."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:57, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
|
- As you can see...yes it does. maggosh 03:33, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- I'd sooner accept printed materials. For instance, the US manual uses "KINGDOM HEARTS CHAIN OF MEMORIES" (Link Features, p.25, BradyGames ad, p.31), and the US Days manual does not title it with a colon (rather, "KINGDOM HEARTS CHAIN OF MEMORIES" as a header with the subtitle in smaller font). Further, http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/khcom/index.html uses ALL-CAPS and no colon. If anything, the colon is an anomaly, so far only seen in few of multitude renditions of SQEX websites. If anything, it's the capitalization I might waver on, since "CHAIN OF MEMORIES", while official by the logo and media, has also been seen in regular capitalization, even so recently as in KH3D (which in the same screen lists Re:coded rather than coded). However, I would insist that initialisms be "KHCOM" rather than "KH:COM" or "KH:CoM", especially as the latter only applies to Re:CoM, as seen here: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/kh2fm/index.html -- note that this also displays "KINGDOM HEARTS II Final Mix", as part of the "KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX+" package, whereas the English release of that game renders it with "FINAL MIX" in ALL-CAPS, despite its very logo using normal capitalization [EDIT: To its credit, though, the JP 2.5 page uses this discrepancy, too: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/khhd2/#kh2]. To flit back to initialisms, it's bizarre how often I've been "BBS" and "Re:Coded"/"Re: Coded", yet "CoM" instead of "COM".
- I can't find the naming of chain of memories at those links, but fine, do the thing."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:16, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- tl;dr - If we're gonna play by SQEX's wonky rules, let's try to get within the same sporting field? TJF588 (talk) 05:47, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
- And to add: The 2.5 sites' 1.5 comic uses "KH", "KHCOM", and "KHDays" for the respective titles: (JP), (US)
- Why not just use whatever name is in 3D? I don't see why we're mincing details with the mmanuals for other games."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:11, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- And to add: The 2.5 sites' 1.5 comic uses "KH", "KHCOM", and "KHDays" for the respective titles: (JP), (US)
I haven't played 3D, but I believe it's just labeled by subtitle, not the whole game title ("Chain of Memories" instead of "Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories" or "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories"). However, the HD 1.5 ReMIX website, HD 2.5 ReMIX website, and Dream Drop Distance website title the game without a colon (Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories). I still believe, like I did almost two years ago when I first opened the subject, that the actual title is "Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories" (without a colon), and the colon is a fluke of a few locations. It does appear that the title without a colon appears more often than the title with a colon. KeybladeSpyMaster 17:36, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- I've got no opposition to this, then."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:54, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
- So, we doing it?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:34, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Journal entries[edit]
Can we figure out a way to present these more nicely? We should also be adding these to the worlds and other games, along with those screenshots they started using from kh2 onward."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:44, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- A journal tab in the infobox, maybe? TheSilentHero 13:37, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- I was thinking either that, or a collapsible, navbox-width version of the character journal tab, to go at the beginning of each game's synopsis section."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:45, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Journal entries[edit]
Sora's story[edit]
Sora's Tale I
Our friends may be here...
It was that thought that led us to Castle Oblivion, where cards rule over all.
A mysterious man gave Sora a card, using it to took us to Traverse Town--of all places!
It turned out the town was just a figment of our own remembrances, the first world of many that lie in Sora's heart.
And so our journey through these worlds begins.
Sora's Tale II
It seems we're slowly losing our memories of what happened before the castle. And all my notes about the last journey have vanished!
But in exchange, Sora is remembering other things he must have forgotten until now--like a girl he knew when he was little.
While fighting Larxene, Sora finally remembered the girl's name...
Naminé.
Sora's Tale III
Sora pressed on in his search for Naminé, and can you believe it? He found Riku, his best friend whom we thought was lost.
Sora was so happy, but Riku attacked him just like that, saying, "I'll protect Naminé!"
What could he mean? Will something happen if Sora finds Naminé?
Sora is chasing after Riku...and the answers.
Reverse/Rebirth[edit]
- Riku's Tale I
Bored with his secluded island life, Riku dreamt of seeing other worlds.
He got his wish when darkness devoured Destiny Islands and he was thrust into the outside world.
While looking for his lost friend Kairi, he met Maleficent, and accepted her help.
But Maleficent had her eyes on Riku's strength and was working to make him her underling. She gave Riku the power of darkness, but as he used it, it gained power over him.
This is why Riku fought his best friend, Sora, and how his heart fell to Ansem, pursuer of darkness.
But Riku was freed by Sora's light. Riku, Sora, and the king worked together to close the door to darkness, but Riku was trapped inside, in the realm of darkness.
Will he see the realm of light again?
- Riku's Tale II
Led by a mysterious voice, Riku made his way through the card-worlds, but met only dark beings within.
Riku was told that because he rejected the other things in his life to claim darkness, his heart is now devoid of anything but the darkness he sought.
Unable to accept this, Riku encountered Ansem, who tried yet again to conquer him.
The king intervened to save Riku, but Ansem had not let go of his heart.
And so Riku must fight the darkness within.
- Riku's Tale III
Embattled with the darkness in his heart, Riku met someone who looked just like him, a replica crafted by Vexen, a member of the Organization.
The replica commanded darkness freely, and called Riku cowardly for shunning the dark.
Meanwhile, agents of the Organization laid their rivalry bare. Sora and Riku seem to be the reason they control the castle—but why?
- Riku's Tale IV
Vexen took his replica of Riku and headed for the surface, but finally fell at Sora's hands.
Lexaeus confronted Riku, intending to bring him to submission using all force necessary.
It was then that the powerful darkness in Riku's heart awakened. The darkness defeated Lexaeus, then dragged Riku into the realm of darkness.
There, Ansem's shadow loomed large, but Riku was again saved by the king's light.
