The base verb is 知る(P); 識る 【しる】 (v5r,vt) to know; to understand; to be acquainted with; to feel; (P) [V][Ex][G][GI][S][A][W] [JW] [G][GI][S][A]
the rareru form makes this passive, so "to be known".
The -zaru makes this anti-, so "to be unknown".
This has a different connotation than "Wakaru", and means more "to know of" than "to understand". Thus, "Secrets which are not known by others" very roughly. In that connotation, "Buried" is a synonym, so the translation is appropriate.Glorious CHAOS! 01:29, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
