Imo, any respected and well known community member should be able to apply for a staff position at any time (with an obvious limit to how often you can apply), it's then up to the community to decide to be for it or against it. No special elections should be needed, it's just a bureaucratic speed bump. Sove 20:33, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

I want to re-iterate that I only asked this (originally) in part to see if the staff felt they needed the extra help, even if it's temporarily. So, in part, I'd especially like to hear/see the staff's opinions/feelings toward this. The other part is, as mentioned, because of some projects (the first one that comes to mind being this one) extensively require the help of the staff, but it's being done by several users, and then left to one or two staff members to complete. Not to mention, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is coming out soon, and with all the new content from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, we're gonna need help. But again, this relies on whether or not the staff feels they don't have any pressure/burden. 22:05, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
