Payback Raid is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to counterattack using Strike Raid after being knocked into the air by an enemy attack.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Payback Raid is a reprisal command exclusive to Ventus that is triggered by pressing when the user is knocked into the air by an attack. It has a maximum level of 4 and fills the Command Gauge by 30%. Ventus is invincible while using Payback Raid.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Payback Raid is a reprisal command exclusive to Sora that is triggered by pressing when the user is knocked into the air by an attack. It grants +1 to Strength and +1 to Defense when attached to a Dream Eater recipe. When used, Sora throws the Keyblade at the enemy, dealing damage once when piercing the enemy and again when returning to him.
Learning Payback Raid[edit]
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep[edit]
- Ventus can obtain Payback Raid from a chest in the Mine.
- Ventus can create Payback Raid through Command Melding.
- Ventus can purchase Payback Raid from the Command Shop for 1400 munny once three worlds have been cleared or the command has already been obtained elsewhere.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]
- Riku can obtain Payback Raid as a Drop Bonus for 40 DP after reaching Shop Level 4.
- Sora and Riku can purchase Payback Raid from the Command Shop for 400 munny, 320 munny during Bargain Flurry, after reaching Shop Level 7.
