| READ BEFORE EDITING:
- Red-linked phrases should not be de-linked or pipe-linked if the phrase is from an official publication. Instead, please start an article or redirect at the link's target.
- Technical info must be written in accordance with the consensus formats. Adding technical info without using these formats creates extra work for other editors and wastes everyone's time.
- Trivia will be removed if it fails to meet the notability guidelines.
- Do not source news to fansite translations of official publications or journals. Instead, source the publication or journal itself.
- Based on the spelling used by the games, "Grey" is preferred over "Gray".
- Entelechy is used here per its English definition, and is not meant to imply that it is an official term within the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
- Do NOT add voice actors to a character's article UNLESS YOU HAVE A CLEAR SOURCE TO SUPPORT IT.

| Oogie Boogie originates from Tim Burton's 1993 stop motion Disney film, ''The Nightmare Before Christmas'', voiced by the late {{w|Ken Page}}. When Lock, Shock, and Barrel bring Santa Claus to Halloween Town as per Jack's order, the trio betray him and bring him to Oogie, who chains him up for torture and plans to kill him. Sally discovers this and tries to rescue Santa, but is caught by Oogie. When Jack realizes he ruined Christmas and how much Halloween needed him, he heads to Oogie's lair to free Santa and Sally, who are nearly dumped into a fiery molten pit. After Jack battles his way past Oogie's gambling devices, Oogie attempts to escape, but Jack manages to pull on one of his loose threads. This shreds out Oogie's clothing, revealing him to be a colony of bugs wrapped in sacking. His bugs fall into his batch of Snake and Spider Stew, and his 'brain bug' is stepped on by Santa. | | Oogie Boogie originates from Tim Burton's 1993 stop motion Disney film, ''The Nightmare Before Christmas''.
