Kingdom Hearts Card Struggle -Spider Solitaire-
Kingdom Hearts Card Struggle -Spider Solitaire- (キングダムハーツCard Struggle~スパイダーソリティア~ Kingudamu Hātsu Card Struggle ~Supaidā Soritia~ ), also written as KH Card Struggle -Spider Solitaire- or more commonly KH Spider Solitaire, is a mini-game application available through Kingdom Hearts Mobile. It is a Kingdom Hearts-themed version of the card game Spider.
Kingdom Hearts Card Struggle -Spider Solitaire- was released on January 22, 2009. It was discontinued on April 30, 2013 along with the rest of Kingdom Hearts Mobile.
Mechanics[edit]
The game follows the traditional rules of Spider solitaire. The goal of the game is to arrange the cards in ascending order. A card can be moved onto another card if its value is one greater, and if multiple cards of the same suit are stacked, they can all be moved together. Completing a full stack of cards removes the stack from the table. At the beginning of the game, cards are dealt in seven or eight piles with the first two cards face down. Face down cards can only be flipped once the card above it is moved. Additional cards can be dealt from the deck onto all piles.
The stage is completed if all cards are organized in stacks. The stage is failed if there are no available moves or if time runs out. There is also an option to undo the last move, which can be used up to five times in a row.
There are seven support (サポート sapōto ) powers that can be used once per stage, determined by the world. There are no score penalties for using supports. Although the effects of a support can be reverted by undoing the last move, the support will remain unavailable for the remainder of the stage.
Challenge Mode offers a total of 75 stages across three different difficulties. On easy difficulty, there is only one suit, and cards must be stacked from ace to king. On normal difficulty, there are two suits, and cards must be stacked from ace to ten. On hard difficulty, there are four suits, and cards must be stacked from ace to seven. When starting the game, only the first five stages of the easy and normal difficulty are unlocked. New stages are unlocked in groups of ten by clearing every previous stage. Once a total of 35 stages are cleared, the hard difficulty is unlocked. Additional hard stages are unlocked in groups of five.
Endless Mode is made up of random stages of increasing difficulty. Worlds can only appear in Endless Mode once they have been encountered in Challenge Mode. Each stage cleared in Endless Mode adds to a total score. The score for each stage is calculated with the following formula: Score = [10 * current stage] + [remaining seconds]
