Amidst the falling of their friends and their enemies, some of these warriors have begun to ponder. Is this the way it is really meant to be? Are so many hearts to be lost here, in battle? Does this only show light and darkness shall never coexist again? Maybe, maybe not. The blades rise again, and the ravaging soldiers of destiny fight again, hoping to find themselves alive for another round after the rocks have fallen and the spells have been cast.

Battle Observatory[edit]This ain't a beauty or personality contest. But if it was, I would strongly argue that Kairi was just as awesome in character and just as hot as she was in KH1. Considering the eye-candy filled, yet slightly prejudiced world of video games, how anyone other than gay gamers can find any female protagonists as ugly, I'll never know (no offense to anyone out there who is gay by the way)(I'm kinda getting tired of all of these gay references). I will agree though, especially with Marluxia and Tarzan's battles, I'm also getting a little sick of the gay references. Brettashley 21:20, November 18, 2010 (UTC) It's a popularity contest, AROS, so those reasons work just fine (albeit I'm sick of the "(s)he's hot/(s)he's ugly" votes as much as you are). This is simply my opinion, but I've been wanting to elaborate on this for a while, so here it is: In KHI, Kairi was a very good character. She had a good voice actor that matched the way she looked and acted, her relationship with Sora and Riku and her backstory are much more interesting, and her "damsel in distress" status and lack of direct involvement in the story isn't really her fault; she's comatose for most of the game, and when she finally wakes back up, the scene is not only touhing, but it's also her that saves Sora. Her scene in the end of the game is equally well done and shows the bond between her and Sora. She spent half of this game unconscious and was more lively than her KHII incarnation, and she wasn't a sexist vat of fanservice. In KHII, however, her voice actor wasn't good (not Aqua-levels, but still bad; kind of like Aerith in both of the games) and, sadly, it did reflect the way she loooked and acted. Kairi in this game acted like she was half asleep the entire timel. Yes, we got to see her kicking ass for a few seconds in TWTNW, but there was no reason for her to be there other than plot-contrivance. She gets dragged around from one place to the other (often off-screen, showing how unimportant her scenes are), except for the first time, where she leaps into the CoD with almost no hesitation. That is quite stupid, considered that I don't think Axel had done anything to make her suspicious of him other than his tone of voice and, since her memories of Sora and the events of KHI were wiped, she had no idea that the CoD would lead her somewhere safe. Hell, it would have been worse if she did remember, even to a small degree, since she should know that something that is so clearly comprised of darkness would be dangerous. And I hate to break it down to pure looks, but Kairi just looks awful in this game. Her hair is plastered on her head and her face isn't nearly as expressive as before. The worst part is that "dress", which is possibly one of the most inappropriate, ugly, and stupid-looking things I've ever seen. There's no reason for the three huge, veritcal zippers in the front, even in a series with some admittedly ridiculous looking characters. Lulu's belt skirt looked less silly than this. The color of it is awful too; Kairi's outfit in KHI looked cute, looked fairly realistic, and it was nice and colorful, the way this game should be.
