 Sad news, folks. Not sure if anyone was aware, but according to KHInsider, Chikao Ohtsuka, the voice actor in Japan for Captain Hook and Master Xehanort, has passed away.

Sad news indeed. Even though I've never played any of the japanese games, it's still a loss. He will be missed.

 I mentioned this on the Talk:Xehanort page before bringing this up here (i.e. before RTB directed me here). It'd be easy to think about who would replace Ohtsuka, but I can't. I just can't.
I remember watching the earliest trailers for BBS when the game was in development and that was the first time I came across his voice, or at least knew that the voice was his.
And the sadder thing is, if this had been Nimoy, this'd be a massive splash across the news boards, even in Japan. At this point, it doesn't matter to me. Ohtsuka is a human being, darn it! -- and his soul deserves respect and prayers as much as anyone else's does.
