Unlike in Kingdom Hearts II, Reaction Commands in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep only appear during event battles, such as escort missions or bosses, and usually involve the hero performing an attack with a temporary party member, rather than relying on the enemy's own attacks. They are not recorded by the journal, and only two of them (White Calm and Selfless Prince) are necessary to complete the game. Each of the Reaction Commands is performed by pressing once the command becomes available, though a few of them require further presses of to complete the attack.

Terra

Castle of Dreams

• Last Dance
  

Terra, with Cinderella, strikes his Keyblade into the ground and a shockwave affects the surrounding Unversed.
Used against: Unversed during Cinderella escort

• Proceed
  

Terra continues his Cinderella escort.

• Goal
  

Terra ends the escort with Last Dance.

Ventus

Dwarf Woodlands

• White Calm
  

Ventus uses a spell similar to Holy that he is able to use after blocking to protect Snow White.
Used against: Wicked Trees during Snow White escort

• Avenger Rush
  

Ventus rushes to the enemy with the Keyblade and hits them 3 times to protect Snow White.
Used against: Unversed during Snow White escort

Castle of Dreams

• Bronco Strike
  

Ventus does an attack similar to how a finisher is done with the Fever Pitch command style against Lucifer.
Used against: Lucifer

Enchanted Dominion

• Joint Force
  

Ventus, with the power of The Three Good Fairies, sets Maleficent to sleep for a set period of time.
Used against: Maleficent

Keyblade Graveyard

• Burst of Faith
  

Ventus, with Mickey, produces a burst of light energy against Vanitas.
Used against: Vanitas

Olympus Coliseum

• Avenger Tornado
  

Ventus, with Hercules, blocks Hercules from attacks and uses an attack similar to Air Flair.
Used against: Unversed

• Swing Slash
  

Ventus, with Hercules, is thrown across the field attacking multiple Unversed.
Used against: Jellyshade

Deep Space

• Astro Shot
  

Ventus throws Stitch as a ball onto the Metamorphosis to stop it from damaging the ship's engine even more.
Used against: Metamorphosis

Aqua

Castle of Dreams

Aqua, with Jaq, protects him from the surrounding Unversed and casts a reflective counter-barrier similar to the Counter Blast Action Command.
Used against: Unversed during Jaq escort

• Turnover
  

Aqua, spins vertically with her Keyblade turning the Carriage over and stunning it for a set period of time.
Used against: Cursed Carriage

Enchanted Dominion

• Avenger Save
  

Aqua, with Prince Philip, protects him from the surrounding Unversed and casts a reflective counter-barrier similar to the Counter Blast Action Command.
Used against: Maleficent's goons

• Selfless Prince
  

Prince Philip tosses Aqua into the air, letting her mount a fortress wall or Maleficent herself.
Used against: Maleficent's fortress, Game:Maleficent (Dragon)

Radiant Garden

• Burst of Faith
  

Aqua, with Mickey, produces a burst of light energy against the Unversed.
Used against: Unversed

• Dual Limit
  

Aqua, with Terra, in a field of light attacks the Guardian by using Trinity Limit.
Used against: Terra-Xehanort and Xehanort's Guardian

Aqua, with Hercules, protects him from the surrounding Unversed and casts a reflective counter-barrier similar to the Counter Blast Action Command.

Deep Space

Aqua throws Stitch as a ball onto Gantu temporarily stopping him from attacking for 8 seconds. Can also be used against regular Unversed to deal damage.
Used against: Unversed during Prison Block event, Gantu

Aqua, with Mickey, produces a burst of light energy against Ventus-Vanitas.
Used against: Ventus-Vanitas
