Here it is! - Mainly, the most important things are the portals at the top (per Doorsey's suggestions) and the cleanup thing (which is a tiny prototype in my lab... if implemented, it would do away with both the Command Board and Cleanup of the Month. It would be expanded to include all stubs, and possibly things like "Can you upload an image for this article...". As tasks are accomplished, they would be removed from the randomizer.). In addition, I didn't add Did you know?, the Trinity Archives, and the Mirage Arena, but I still believe that they are important. For those of you who saw what I was trying to do on my prototype page, it should explain. I came across apiece of coding. It took an image and set it as the background of the page, and then overlayed other images (as page links) over it. I tried doing this, but failed, as I didn't think it was a good idea to upload 20 some images to the wiki. In the end, what it was supposed to be, was a tiny world map. I had Erry take a printscreen of the Lanes Between, and I attempted to overlay world images over it. I found that it was entirely possible, but I didn't have the patience. So, in addition to my idea in image form, I would like to purpose the idea of having a small map, with Traverse Town on it, a little description, and a link to the Community Portal, and the Mirage Arena battle box. Also, I don't think the "On this day" thing would work, as our wiki is rather small, rather young, and Kingdom Hearts isn't a gigantic series. - Yeah, this won't exactly work anymore, due to the fact that, becuase we brought this up in May, and did absolutly nothing, The Keyhole has modified thier main page, and it now looks extremely similar to my idea, including the portals to categories. - That'd work if we had one main site, instead of several branches.
- As for On This Day, it would work, provided we can get all the information related to:
- The conception of the whole idea of Kingdom Hearts in the lift by Disney and SE employees
- The completion of Kingdom Hearts
- The release and sale dates of games, manga, OST and novels in Japan, the US and the EU
- Kurt Zisa and SE's Name-In-Game contest
- TGS and E3 announcements of Kingdom Hearts instalments
- The conception of Kingdom Hearts Mobile
- Our Wikiversary (1 April, that's for sure). That'll involve the founding of the wiki on Wikia.
- The days we hit 1,000 and 2,000 articles respectively.
- The day we came up with the Spoiler Policy (which is relatively recent)
- The date we moved to an independent server
- The day we conceived SEIWA
- Of course, a lot of info has to be fished out from the official blog, Message From the Kingdom, but as far as earlier games are concerned, it's more difficult to get info. We can still attempt it, and we don't have to have it for every single day. These are but a few examples, and surely if we think of more, we can come up wtih more. Suggestions[edit]
- Remove the Command Board, as it never gets used anyway. -- AS IF! 20:50, 8 May 2011 (EDT)
- No, I'd say emphasize the Command Board so it does get used. Chitalian8 22:30, 8 May 2011 (EDT)
- We should (if we can) try to make the Command Board look a little bit easier to read. I know it's pretty straightforward on "this is what needs to be done" but I personally think we should make it look a bit more user-friendly. I never said most of the things I've said 00:19, 9 May 2011 (EDT)

- Place more emphasis on the Featured Article/User and Cleanup of the Month sections, as for new users they are the most important.-- AS IF! 20:50, 8 May 2011 (EDT)
- General cleanup of the text, as some of it seems very redundant. Better layout, more attractive design, not basic-looking. Look more Kingdom Hearts than Wikia. -- Ay, dios mio! I might be late tomorrow. - Erry 23:48, 8 May 2011 (EDT)
- I disagree with Erry to look more Kingdom Hearts than Wikia. I think we should try to keep a balance. Right now the Main Page is a little too much Kingdom Hearts. We got the more Kingdom Hearts, useless stuff up at the top where people see the most and the important necessary stuff at the bottom where people (me included) almost never look. Things like Featured article/user/media change every month, and a person is only gonna pay attention to it once. Quote of the Moment and Did You Know are fun, but never get updated, so you could practically memorize it all. Trinity Archives are good, but rarely ever get updated. I'd say we should move the ones mentioned above a little bit down and things like Command Board and Cleanup of the Month more up top. I never said most of the things I've said 00:19, 9 May 2011 (EDT)
- Well... I think Traverse Town needs to have its own box instead of just a link. And we should merge Cleanup of the Month with Command Board since Cleanup of the Month never did change since last year. We could put it on top of the Command Board if you guys want to. And to emphasize the Command Board, like Chitalian said, it needs a higher spot. Maybe above the Did You Know.... Also, I think the Welcome to Kingdom Hearts Wiki needs a better font, something more grand, something like what Erry did in here. And maybe we need a box for stickied Forums, or maybe important ones containing our current projects (or maybe, we can merge that with the Command Board as well). The17Master 06:54, 9 May 2011 (EDT)
- The page we have now was entirely dependent on the skin and limitations Wikia provided us with. We need to completely restructure it from scratch to not only provide something that differentiates us from KHWikia, but also to create something better now that we are free from Wikia's limitations. --DTN 23:59, 20 June 2011 (EDT)

- I wrote an essay on Wikimon's Main Page, analyzing it. Please go read it. --DTN 02:00, 4 July 2011 (EDT)
Or, the Deus Ex wiki. Well, I've made a list of SE-related ones here, and I trust all of us can point out the ones with the best front page ideas. TamboursNéant Ensemble ! 16:14, 1 July 2011 (EDT)
Well, I've completely given up my attempts... so I'll just sprite something together for the new page, and see if you guys like it, and if the more code literate users think it's possible. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 19:10, 2 July 2011 (EDT)
- Also, seeing as I plan on linking this later today, my version of the page will be almost entirely random, minus the featured stuff. This would, hopefully, provide a uniform yet different-upon-every-arrival main page. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 11:23, 4 July 2011 (EDT)
- My idea is above, for deliberation. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 14:44, 4 July 2011 (EDT)
I know it's been a few months since then, but how are the page ideas coming along?
Also, if anyone needs image-making, you know the usual few you can call for help. ^_- TamboursNéant Ensemble ! 11:43, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
I have an idea.
Here's an image, please click it
So basically, we put that image in the main page, clicking the image will open up our external websites, I've chosen our Twitter page as an example. So clicking the image will direct you to here. Of course, we can also use it for internal links. Also, it doesn't have to be the Door to Darkness, it can be any other door or symbol or something else, like the Heart symbol. The idea came from Portal Wiki, which is here, just scroll down a bit and you can see a portal with an image of TFWiki's Main Page, clicking the image will direct you to TFWiki. I like that idea, especially since Shard has a collection of doors on his page. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 21:48, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Using a screencap for the inside is just too messy for my tastes; it doesn't look very clean. Is there anything else we could put in the doors though? I do like that basic idea. --DTN 21:55, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- You could just put a pic of the target's main logo or main page.
- Also, regarding the changes to the page -- can someone whip up a version based on the wikimon discussion?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:28, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

I made this, it would essentially be completed if I figured out how to fix the top-bar (and if we can get better images) and to recolor the 'header' of the boxes. Ay, dios mio! I might be late tomorrow. - Erry 11:12, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
My suggestions for that page —
- Round the corners. That looks like it still has Wikia-style limitations.
- White text on yellow = not a good design idea.
- The Trinity Report was better off with the little bits that we have now (as in, small gists of full articles that we've written). That Trinity report looks too sparse.
The current front page has its strengths in that there are the rounded edges that we do want to keep, and also, the Trinity Report and other things look very well done. We only need a sort of navigation section for the content, and we need to restyle it. I suggest we build up on the strengths we already have, without making it look like the Wikia page, and then taking it from there. TamboursNéant Ensemble ! 11:25, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
- The giant qutation marks need to be changed as well... guys, we need this to NOT look like this. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 17:44, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
