Dans-Crown.png I've noticed that the "See also" sections on the following pages have gotten completely out of hand:

I'm wondering whether it would be a good idea to create a navigational template for this family of Heartless, perhaps similar to this one.

Thoughts[edit]

Don't I even warrant a hello, Lexaeus?

I think that's a really good idea. There's so many of them, it'd really help. Or at least remodel the Heartless template to have a sub-heading for this family.

LapisScarab - Xemnas (card).png You accept darkness, yet choose to live in the light. So why is it that you loathe us who teeter on the edge of nothing? We who were turned away by both light and dark - never given a choice? Nobody.png
TALK - That may be... however, what other choice might we have had?
Interdiction KHD.png I'm liking NitrousX's idea a bit more, since it'll save more space and we won't need to make a whole new template.

Smart idea. I can help if needed. User:ZexionTheGamer/Signature

I'm all for getting rid of giant "See Also" sections. Either idea is just fine with me; go for it!

Dans-Crown.png Okay, cool. I'll start work on a navigational template, and we'll see how it looks. But there's one thing that concerns me; what exactly do we call this family of Heartless?

I've made an example of the template here:

Magic Heartless
Introduced in Kingdom Hearts
Black Ballade - Blue Rhapsody - Green Requiem - Red Nocturne - Yellow Opera
Introduced in Kingdom Hearts II
Crimson Jazz - Emerald Blues - Silver Rock - Spring Metal
Introduced in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Emerald Serenade - Grey Caprice - Pink Concerto - Sapphire Elegy - Scarlet Tango - Striped Aria - Turquoise March

Not too sure if we're going to go with "Magic Heartless", but how does it look? Pawprintorange.png Dan - Don't Blink! Pawprintblue2.png 21:58, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

OPXion4EverIcon.png Glad to see the bloody "see also" sections gone. The template sounds good to me; nice job, Dan.

TALK -
I am absolutely against this. We already had a category for this that ended up having people throw in any Heartless that could use magic, and the name is uncanon. These Heartless are also not the only ones to have multiple variations - in fact, most Heartless have at least one variation, with others going up to six or so. We also have long see also sections for item articles; for example, Fire Ring. The directory templates end up taking just as much room, and are more difficult to correct or add to if there are problems.

Furthermore, when we have multiple directory templates on a page, it looks even messier. Look at Kingdom Key.

If the length of the section is an issue, then a much simpler solution would be to simply split it into multiple columns.

On an aesthetic note, the directory as designed above is incredibly difficult to read.
