Dark Maelstrom is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. It allows Riku to unleash a powerful spinning attack with a pair of energy blades that rushes the enemy, followed by a powerful upward slash with the two swords combined.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain Of Memories, Dark Maelstrom is a Duel Sleight that is activated by winning a five-card duel against an enemy while in Dark Mode.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[edit]
In Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Dark Maelstrom is an ability learned by Riku. It costs 54 MP to perform. Dark Maelstrom deals physical damage to one enemy two times, while partially ignoring the enemy's DEF.
Dark Maelstrom (KHIII) is an ability learned by Riku (KHIII). It costs 66 MP to perform. Dark Maelstrom (KHIII) deals physical damage to one enemy, adds the dark element to the user's physical attacks for 3 turns, and increases the user's LB damage for 2 turns.
