 Riku is taken by the card to the lowest basement of [[Castle Oblivion]], which has taken the form of Hollow Bastion by crafting itself from his memories. Though Hollow Bastion is the same as he remembered it, he is unable to find anyone. While he searches, the voice speaks to and mocks the young teenager. At long last, Riku meets someone: Maleficent. Maleficent taunts him and his refusal of the darkness, but Riku fights and defeats her, hoping to prove that he is above the darkness.
