Battleships are some of the most powerful non-boss type enemies in the game, and are in the same ranks as the Devastator enemy in Kingdom Hearts II. Certain parts on the Battleship can be destroyed, crippling it. For example, the cannons can be destroyed to halt its fire or the sail can be destroyed to cripple its maneuverability. Sora doesn't have to destroy all the parts to defeat a Battleship, but he does get Tech Points.
Battleships are some of the most powerful non-boss type enemies in the game, and are in the same ranks as the Devastator enemy in Kingdom Hearts II. Certain parts on the Battleship can be destroyed, crippling it. For example, the cannons can be destroyed to halt its rocket fire or the sail can be destroyed to limit its ascent and prevent it from dropping bombs. Sora doesn't have to destroy all the parts to defeat a Battleship, but he does get Tech Points for each part destroyed. Gravity Magic can deal great damage to its overall HP and at the same time instantly destroy the propeller.

The Battleship may appear to charge up and has a purple aura resembling a shield at the nose and charges into Sora. It may also fire balls of energy upward that home in on him. It will also raise up above his view and start to drop bombs on him. These attacks don't cause major damage, but may be deadly if Sora is low on health.
A Battleship's attacks include:
* Firing yellow rockets from its cannons upward that home in on Sora
* Lining a cannon up with Sora and firing a large orange rocket straight forward
* Ascending very high and dropping bombs while moving in a straight line
* Attempting to charge at Sora, enveloping itself in a purple aura resembling a shield at the nose

These attacks don't cause major damage, but may be deadly if Sora is low on health. If both cannons and the propeller of a Battleship are destroyed, the charging attack will be the only ability left that it can use. Due to its massive HP pool and the difficulty involved in attacking it if encountered outside of Neverland where flight is unavailable, a Battleship can prove to be a persistent threat.

If there is at least one other enemy in the fight who has missing HP, and the Battleship has at least one operational cannon, it can attempt to heal them by lining itself up and firing a large green healing rocket straight at them. If Sora or a party member can intercept this rocket directly, then their own HP will be replenished.
