Aqua: Difference between revisions

Aqua bears some similarities to [[Kairi]] and [[Sora]], primarily her devotion to her closest friends. This is displayed by when she makes good luck charms for them, does everything in her power to protect [[Ventus]] (despite his discouragement whenever she tells him to go home), her confidence that Terra will overcome his own darkness, and saves [[Terra]] even when it ends up stranding her in the Realm of Darkness. Aqua is typically modest, still referring to herself as a trainee (only calling herself "Master Aqua" when she fights [[Game:Terra-Xehanort|the possessed Terra]], even then only as an intimidation tactic), and also when addressing authority figures such as Master Eraqus and Queen Minnie.

However, like Eraqus, Aqua is also noticeably stubborn and overprotective, therefore controlling. She always worries about Ventus because of his age and lack of experience, and orders him to go home whenever she finds him, a worry that, while also out of genuine care, may be partly rooted in her higher rank, making it come off as condescending, as she never really gives him the chance to prove himself. Ventus even calls her out on this when she starts acting this way toward Terra, once she realizes his problems with handling the darkness. Aqua, much like Sora, becomes incredibly embarrassed when confronted with romantic matters; when [[Zack]] asks her out on a date, she shakes her head and arms, stutters and blushes, trying desperately to compose herself.
