Counter Blast (バリアクラッカー Baria Kurakkā, lit. "Barrier Cracker") is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, and Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to counterattack after a block by shattering their barrier and send it flying into surrounding enemies.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Counter Blast is a Reprisal command exclusive to Aqua that must be installed under a Barrier-type command. It is activated by pressing 
(
in the Japanese versions) after blocking. It has a maximum level of 4 and fills the Command Gauge by 40%.
In Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, Counter Blast is a default ability that appears upon blocking.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Counter Blast is a reprisal action ability exclusive to Guardian Form, Riku, and Aqua.
Learning Counter Blast
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
- Aqua can obtain Counter Blast from a chest in Fountain Court.
- Aqua can purchase Counter Blast from the Command Shop for 1200 munny once six worlds are cleared or the command has already been obtained elsewhere.

- Aqua has Counter Blast as a default ability.
Kingdom Hearts III
