On average, we post about less than 10 tweets a week. I am under the assumption that this is something we do not want to do. However, I also understand that we shouldn't spam people with twenty different links about editing/KH news/etc. My question is this: What do we want the Twitter account to do? To me, I think if we can find a happy balance between editing, Wiki, KH series news, and fun, we're golden.
It has been about a week and a half. In review, here are what the tweets under the new staff- Pea, KeybladeSpyMaster, and myself- have been:
- Introduction of new Twitter management
- Start of #KHguessthatquote
- Check out the new main page
- Check out the latest issue of the magazine
One way I know of to spark some interest in the Wiki's Twitter account is to have some posts which encourage/ask for input/activity. This was my idea behind "Guess that Quote." So far that idea is successful. One idea of mine is to create "games"/events for every day. I know having an activity every single day might be too much for us [the staff] to keep charge of, especially right off...That is why I'm proposing a day or two break between events. This keeps the Twitter account active and alive and us staff sane able to handle the posting. Guess That Quote happens every week on Friday, however, KeybladeSpyMaster and I have discussed/tossed around the idea of having it step up to every half week or day. Either way, something is set on Friday. A rough outline of what I'm proposing is...
- Daily Post/Game here
- Monday
- Nothing scheduled (day of rest)
- Tuesday
- Daily Post/Game here
- Wednesday
- Nothing scheduled (day of rest)
- Thursday
- Daily Post/Game here
- Guess That Quote
- Saturday
- Nothing scheduled (day of rest)
Should we move Guess That Quote to every day, we can choose to have something else replace its slot on Friday.
At the moment, these are the following new "game" ideas I have. Their purpose is to provide something everyday for our followers to see. We do not have to spam the ideas multiple times throughout the day. Just a post at some point during that day to show that we still check the page.
- "Would You Rather" #KHWouldYouRather: Due to Twitter's character limits it is a reasonable inference that replies to this will be keep short-sweet-and-to-the-point. The idea is to ask a general question, such as: "#KHWouldYouRather ...be a Heartless or a Nobody?" "#KHWouldYouRather ... live in Twilight Town or Traverse Town?" ...and the like.
- "Who Would Win" #KHWhoWouldWin: Think Mirage Arena, Twitter style. We wouldn't necessarily have to keep a tally of how many votes each contestant has; most Twitter users could/would probably browse the feedback on their own. There are a ton of ideas we could use and we could even ask our followers what the next "Who Would Win" should be. Examples of this would be: "#KHWhoWouldWin ... Roxas or Sora?" #KHWhoWouldWin ... Potion or Ether?" "#KHWhoWouldWin ... Oathkeeper or Oblivion?" (Notice: Would could probably be replaced by "should.")
- "Favorite" #KHWFavorite: This is a simple matter of personal opinions to the general question "What is your favorite..." Examples: "Favorite world? #KHWFavorite" "Favorite ability? #KHWikiFavorite" "Favorite character? #KHWFavorite"
Again, these are just ideas of mine. If someone has better ones or disapproves of the thoughts above, by all means say so. We do not have to do anything, if we choose so. I am trying to understand/make sense of what all we want the Twitter to do.

I love all of these. I also think it's still a good idea to post significant news about the wiki and the series, but not everything we hear. I think as far as games, we're about good, until we run out of things to post for these games. As far as news, this is what I think we should do.
- Wiki
- Significant changes to the wiki, things like the new main page, the new Traverse Town, the revival of the Twitter account. so far, what we've posted is good. Should we post announcements like the Roundtable, the magazine publication, etc.?
- Featured Article, Featured Media, Clean-Up of the Month. But not all at the same time. For example, one week, we'd put the FA, the next the FM, and the next, the Clean-Up. Or something in that manner.
- Kingdom Hearts news
- Significant news, like E3, the cover art reveal, release dates, etc.
- We're a Kingdom Hearts site. While we're not a news site, the acknowledgement of recent events related to the series makes us seem more like we love the series and less like we're concerned about only the wiki.
Also, I'm not sure how good an idea it is to try and post every day. I think the schedule you put, with four days of rest, works just fine.

I'm not a Twitter user but mind if I share my thoughts?
Those game ideas sound cool! With "Guess that Quote", how long do you wait before you tweet the answer? Maybe the "Who would win" can be more specific so instead of "Who would win...Sora or Riku", you can have "Who would win a fight...Sora or Riku" (although, a better one would be "Who would win a beauty pageant...Sora or Riku") and hopefully that will spark more response?
I'd limit the amount of Wiki news we release so we don't have too much potentially uninteresting tweets that could scare off a would-be follower. I imagine the primary purpose of the twitter account is to entertain rather than to inform since you can get information/news from a dozen other places (including the Wiki) but our games makes us unique. If it was me, I'd find getting tweets about monthly things (e.g. Featured Content and Clean Up) slightly annoying. Maybe as a general rule of thumb, only news about the infrequent (new magazine issues) or never-to-happen-again (Traverse Town/main page revival) should be posted. Also, only major KH news should be tweeted (the examples KSM mentioned sound good to me). Hopefully, that'd ensure that the news will be infrequent enough so that the spontaneous news that is tweeted holds some interest with the casual Tweeter.
It sounds like you guys are doing a great job with this!

Of course! The more thoughts the merrier! ^_^
What you have proposed for the Wiki, KSM, sounds good to me- including the magazine. As for the Roundtable...I think a simple tweet on the day of wouldn't hurt. Those who edit will probably appreciate the reminder while those who don't will either ignore it, or wonder what it is about = investigation/potential editing. Weekly themes for FA/FM/Cleanup-of-the-Month/FU sounds good to me, too. Should that go on one of the days of rest, considering these are relatively simple tweets? Absolutely agree on the KH news section.
@ FM: "Guess that Quote" starts on one Friday with the question with the answer being revealed the following Friday, along with the new "Guess that Quote" for the week. As for specifying "Who would win," sounds fine to me, though we'll have to be careful about the Twitter character restrictions.
I absolutely agree with keeping the Twitter account entertaining/fun. If I recall correctly though, we've had some problems in the past on getting a bit carried away. Granted, the Wiki/consensus change over time. Truth be told, games probably don't sound appealing to us/look good on our rep. Then again, we never really gave two cents about what others had to say about us....Even so, these are the only ideas I have on how to operate the Twitter. If someone has a better idea, by all means, please.
Also, when should we begin these new games? A safe bet, at least to me, is next week. This gives us the rest of this week to finalize everything. Furthermore, just to clarify things and to ensure that the deed is done, we should probably come up with a list of who is in charge of what as well as a master "events schedule" showing people what occurs when- which has already been started on this main page. I don't mind which game(s) I'm paired with. Also, should someone have a comment about what the topic should be, they could ask on here or contact fellow Twitter staff on talkpages/off Wiki, etc. That said, I know I gave KSM my email. Should you want it, Pea, just say so. Then again, I believe we're all on the KHW Facebook page.

- If we are unable to determine a schedule/who is in charge of what this week, we could postpone it for another week, but keep in mind that the first week of August is quickly approaching. Oh, and that according to our new weekly schedule that we agreed upon above, the first new game should go into effect on a Sunday. So, we have till Saturday night, really. If we want this to go for next week. Xion4ever 00:15, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
