Kingdom Hearts II

A dancer. A high-ranking Nobody. She skates around the ground and quickly moves away when approached. Wait for the end of her attack to retaliate. When she approaches with a low posture, look out!

If cornered, she retaliates with her buddies with kicks and other attacks. Fight carefully when outnumbered.

Appearances

Anatomy

Dancers are of average height, wearing a pink beanie cap, with a loose ponytail-like ribbon, and a black chest plate. The arms, waist, and sides are left uncovered, with bell-bottom pants with the Nobody symbol covering the legs. Two black wristbands and pointed, black high-heeled boots finish its outfit. This is unusual, since most (non-humanoid) Nobodies are colored in greyscale. Dancers also are usually seen with an eerie smile.

Dancers are one of the few enemies in the series that have an explicitly female appearance.

Fighting Style

The Dancer has a very effective fighting style. She will kick Sora vigorously for an extended period of times. Each kick sends Sora a few feet into the air. The most deadly attack comes when the dancer is sliding with glowing hands; if one touches Sora while doing this, the dancer grabs Sora and jerks him around in a dance before kicking him for high damage. (This is the "low posture" the journal mentions above.) They are difficult to defeat in large numbers. Another attack is that the Dancer will grab Sora by his head, skate around, and fling him into the air. This can make you lose up to 30% of your total HP.

Trivia

  • The Dancer nobodies appear to use some form of the Brazilian and African martial arts, Capoiera, for their basic kicks.
  • Tetsuya Nomura most likely created a feminine lesser Nobody for references that there's only one female member of Organization XIII.
