The Star Shell is a pair of Arrowguns that can be wielded by Xigbar in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to the Star Shell+.

Design

The body of a Star Shell Arrowgun is made up of an orange center with black edges surrounded by a faded purple ring with tan inner edges and two teeth-like protrusions pointing in. There are two orange circles near the front of the weapon, and an orange spike near the rear of it. The barrel is orange, flat, and shade-shaped, with a large gap in its center. The handle is black and the guard is a gradient that fades from purple to orange as it goes up. The guard is lined by six black diamonds with white edges that flash violet, the color of the bullets, when Xigbar reloads. The bullets produce violet sparks on contact with enemies and gold ones on contact with anything else.

Gameplay

Xigbar's basic ground combo involves him performing a short backflip while firing two simultaneous shots, one from each Arrowgun. While airborne, he then holds his two Arrowguns together and fires two more shots, these ones larger and faster than the previous two. In his aerial combo, Xigbar fires four shots straight ahead in quick succession, backflips, fires two more shots straight ahead, and finally holds his Arrowguns together to fire two charged shots straight ahead.
