No, I'm not on the wrong wiki. Basically, TheFifteenthMember and I have taken to trying to revive the Square Enix Independent Wiki Alliance by restructuring and building up the Square Enix Wiki. It's coming along quite well. There are some issues, however, which we'd like to discuss with everyone, and since the Kingdom Hearts Wiki is the most active of the wikis involved (the StrategyWiki seems to be opposed to being involved as a wiki), it seems right to post this here. There are several issues that need to be ironed out before general editing can begin. Manual of Style Page formats Game articles Series articles Manga articles Anime articles Company articles People articles Policies for editing, userpages, images, general rules, coverage Affiliates and partner wikis to cover the details on series I think these should be taken care of one topic at a time. So, I feel we should start with the Manual of Style.

We all win that way. — TheFifteenthMember 18:33, 31 October 2014 (UTC) The only general tips I can think of for the MoS are: Write from an out of universe perspective. We should mimic Wikipedia in that the articles are focused on the production/development of the game rather than its contents. Summarise. For sections that are about the game itself (plot and gameplay), they should only cover the main points since the respective Wiki should handle all the details. Other than that, most of the other editing guidelines will lie within the article formats.

I think that they should include normal leads and infoboxes then contain the following sections: "Story" (possibly broken down into "Plot" and "Background"), "Gameplay", "Development"/"Production", "Reception", "Versions" (for any ports, rereleases, HD remakes etc.) and "Media" (for any relevant soundtracks, novels, manga etc.). It's worth noting that not all these sections are obligatory. For example, the Versions section can be omitted if the game has not had any reremakes. We should make one perfect game article so that we can use it as an example for all others. Maybe we should have a go completing Kingdom Hearts's article?

Also, I'm going to start writing up the Games Formatting page, but I'll still keep an eye on this to add any changes if necessary.
