Emblem Theory[edit]

I have a theory that the Pot Spider and Barrel Spider don't have Emblems for the same reason that the Gargoyle Knight, Gargoyle Warrior, and Thresholder don't have Emblems: They're ordinary pots and gunpowder barrels taken over by a Possessor.

There are no Possessors coming out of those Heartless. Evidence please ! TNÉ je t'♥ mélancolie ! 12:18, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Well, like I said, it's just a theory. I don't think it's canon, since the creators of the series didn't plan on Possessors at that point in KH1. But it would certainly explain why ordinary pots and barrels can come to life as Heartless, and it would certainly explain why they don't have emblems. Like I said, I don't think it's canon, but it would be a great fanon way of explaining a possible oversight by the designers. I figure it could at least be something we can mention in a "theories" section of the articles.
As for the Pot Centipede having an emblem, that's easily explainable. Pot Spiders, in theory, are ordinary pots taken over by a Possessor. But the Pot Centipede uses two segments for the head and rear, two segments that are of an Emblem Heartless that relies on the Pot Spiders. Or, possibly, brings the pots to life without the use of Possessors.
Again, just a theory. I have no actual proof. But we might consider putting it in the articles under a "theory", section. Probably with a warning that it's only speculation and not canon.

Not sure if the rest would have this...... I kinda understand what you're getting at, though. ^_^ TNÉ je t'♥ mélancolie ! 00:57, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
I understand this is an old discussion but I thought I'd point out that Pot Spiders release hearts when defeated, which is something true only of Emblem Heartless. My guess is the emblem is inside the pot.
