TerraCharm.pngMore and more stubs are appearing on the Wiki lately, particularly for abilities. Examples are Quick Run, Dark Break, and Dark Aura, which are the only three I can list off the top of my head. Other concerns would be the Days abilities like Round Block.

Not only do I feel that these pages are useless as there's barely any content, at least no more than what we can say on other pages, which is parroting information, hence redundancy. Content from Dark Aura's section on the Sleight page reads : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Rush enemies repeatedly with blade in hand. Finish off by stabbing Soul Eater into the ground for a column of light that confuses the enemy. Only available in Dark Mode.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The entire Dark Aura page reads : _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Dark Aura is one of Riku's abilities. They come in two different ways. The first Dark Aura is teleporting around the battle field with his weapon in front of him and ending by landing on the ground with a hard slam that creates a shockwave. This ability is first seen in Kingdom Hearts. His second Dark Aura is shooting a barrage of dark energy orbs at his opponents. The second version of Dark Aura is not to be confused with the previous versions with the same name from Kingdom Hearts or Kingdom Hearts II.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Riku rush enemies repeatedly with blade in hand. It finish off by stabbing the Soul Eater into the ground for a column of light that confuses the enemy. It is only avaliable in Dark Mode

This is the Attack Card requeriment for Dark Aura Soul Eater (card).png + Soul Eater (card).png + Soul Eater (card).png (27)

Trivia

  • The Dark Aura in Kingdom Hearts II is very similar to Dark Firaga from the previous games.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ True, the bit about Kingdom Hearts II is never listed on the Sleight page, but most of that content relating to Chain of Memories is, to some degree. Considering stubs for 358/2 Days abilities are no different and have literally nothing that allows them to stand alone as articles, I'd like to nominate the idea of creating a single page that details all of only a single game's abilities. For instance, a page titled like the following and following the same formatting as the Sleight Page :

  • Kingdom Hearts Abilities (lowercase the "A" if you wish)
  • Kingdom Hearts II Abilities
  • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Abilities
  • Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Abilities
  • Kingdom Hearts coded Abilities (if any)

I find having all of these stubs and useless pages pointless. Not to mention we boost our page numbers with what should be detailed, high-quality articles, when we are really "cheating" in a way, by having these parroted or useless pages about the Wiki. I also have a problem with the TCG articles due to their lack of information and poor formatting, even though KrytenKoro has tried his best. If we could discuss a reorganization of these articles as well, in a different forum at a later date, that would be super.

Heartless Emblem.pngI suggested something similar in this Forum:Forum:Abilities pages but Kryten said that these abilities should be on the characters pages like Cloud#Abilities or Goofy#Abilities

TerraCharm.pngThis is different, though. We're not just talking about character abilities. We're talking about generic abilities like Quick Run and Dodge Roll, as well.

Heartless Emblem.pngYeah i talked about Forms abilities like Quick Run(when i mentioned Anti-Glide) but i forgot about Dodge Roll, well i think that it is a great idea but what about the abilities that appear in more than one game like dark aura and dodge roll?

TerraCharm.pngWell, I think we had a page for every ability once... then it got deleted or removed for some reason. I'm not sure what we'd do, since the info on the Dark Aura page parrots the Sleight page, and alone the stuff from KH2 can't stand... I just want to get rid of all these cruddy stubs.

KrytenKoro - This is the song that runs under the credits; these are the credits, so this is where it goes. 'has nothing to do with the movie so we'll say, "Hey! Hey! Hey hey hey hey hey hey!"
TALK -
Character abilities, like Dark Aura, should be on their character's pages. That's what I said, and I explained in detail what should be done with other types of abilities. I even set up a project page and several examples (Invincible, Berserk, Lucky Lucky) for how generic abilities should be covered.

Stuff like Quick Run, when filled out properly, should have just enough to support its own page. A moving image could help too. I'll try to add the nihongo for Enemy Cards and 358 abilities sometime in the future, and those will indicate that a lot of these abilities are the same thing, allowing for merges.

Just fill them out correctly, and they'll be good for now.

TerraCharm.pngRight. Then why hasn't this been done? I am fine with the abilities like Dodge Roll and Glide which have multiple appearances. Those articles are short, but at least they have something to stand for. Models we should use would be the magic articles like Aero and Fire. They are perfect examples of a well-written article on an ability.

The only reason I brought up this forum is that we ask for the articles to be detailed and concise, but there's nothing much to say about them. It's like writing an article on the individual cards in CoM :

  • The Teeming Darkness is a red card appearing in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. It allows you to open doors in the memory-worlds of Castle Oblivion, depending on the number inscribed on it. Several more Heartless than usual will appear in these rooms.

That's what I mean. There's not much to say about something as narrow as a one-appearance item/ability. That's why I'd like to kill off the stubs and either merge them or GREATLY improve them.
