Flick Rush Tips
Hey guys. MEX here. In this issue of The Kingdom Hearts Wiki Magazine, I am The Keyblade Master. And for that, I unlocked all of the Sleeping Keyhole's with the great help of all my very well trained Spirits. And that's why I will give you some hints on Flick Rush, where I got plenty of items to train them.
Okay then, let's get going. First, let's start with the basics. To win a Flick Rush match, you have to choose your Spirits wisely, picking up one's which can work well as a team. For example, pick up one Spirit for being the main attacker, such as a Ryu Dragon, Aura Lion or a Skelterwild (three which specifics gameplay tactics I will explain later), one Spirit which is powerful against the weaknnes of the "Sweeper" (For example, in case you pick up Ryu Dragon, the second could be a Thunder Element Spirit, which is powerful against Water Element) and one which has Elixir as his powered up attack, being used as a Healer, like the Frooz Cat.
Now for the battle basics. Remember to always attack with at least two cards per time, making sure the total value of the attack is higher than 10. Remember that the attack that s used is that of the first card flicked upwards. This reduces the chance of your attack being broken a lot. If you can't use two cards, defend yourself while the gauge charges up, since defending don't cost any bars. Also, always remember to reload your cards while the Spirit is attacking or defending. This way, you will rarely run out of cards.
To make battles even easier, you can also change Spirits which elements are stronger against the ones you will fight. Knowing each Spirits attacks is also good, since then you can know which is the right moment to use them. Keep in mind that some Spirits have different attacks while they are in different dispositions, so check them before battling. Now I will give some tips, according to my tactics, on how to efficiently use specific Spirits.
- Ryu Dragon: His slice attacks are very quick, so they can be used to finish low health enemies. The Quinti Slice is long enough to allow a card reload while Ryu Dragon is attacking. A good idea to quickly sweep the enemy team is to use lift off, which will change all his cards to Dragon Blast and Dragon Breath. Both attacks allows for a full reload. After some time, Ryu Dragon will switch back to the ground. Although, if the player is quick enoguh to chain together a series of attacks, it can stay in this mode for the full length of the battle. An easy way to do this is to keep using Dragon Breath and reloading your cards during the attack, using Dragon Breath again just before the last attack ends. This way, Ryu Dragon will never stop, thus staying airborne.
- Aura Lion: All of his attacks are long enough to allow reloads, so you don't have to worry about that. The tactic I use is to chain together a barrage of Claw Combos, one of his strongest attacks. This hardly allows the enemy to counter.
- Skelterwild: With him, mainly use Ice Breath with at least three cards, keeping enemies trapped while reloading my cards. When they are low on health, use Ice Spear (need help here, is this the one that launches one ice shot? this is the one I use. I always mistake it for the one he launches five icicles upwards),a strong attack that takes a lot of health. Using Dino Bite on small enemies also leaves them immobilized, taking a great amount of health and allowing a good card reload.
- Frootz Cat: This one can be used as a good healer. Mainly defend yourself, transforming cards into Elixirs, them use them with three other cards to make sure they aren't breaked, always reloading. Repeat this until all Spirits have a good amount of health. Using Musical Storm is also a good tactic, since it's a powerful attack.
