In Kingdom Hearts, Sora uses Explosion as a combo finisher that damages and knocks back enemies.

Explosion (エクスプロージョン Ekusupurōjon?) is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. In both instances, it creates an explosion of light that damages enemies.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Explosion is an ability which provides Sora with a combo finisher. Sora lifts his Keyblade and thrusts it down, releasing three balls of light that circle around him, drilling into the enemy before knocking them away. In both games, it requires 3AP to equip.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Explosion is used as a powerful Finish Command.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Explosion is a Level 5 Finish Command. Terra, Aqua or Ventus charges energy into their Keyblade briefly before slamming it on the floor, causing a large ripple of energy to erupt with small energy balls coming out.
