Spinner Ray

Spinner Ray is a technique in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, which harms enemies with beams of light while the player presses buttons as a spinner passes through them. Spinner Ray can only be used with Donald and Goofy as party members when no other Overclock Finisher can be equipped.

Mechanics

Spinner Ray is a Type B Overclock Finisher. When activated by pressing , a circular display appears on-screen, with , , and arranged around it. A twenty-second timer begins as a small circle begins moving clockwise around the larger ring. Data-Sora, Donald and Goofy go back to back and they each shoot out a beam of light. After they begin to spin around and the player must press the correct button as the small circle overlaps with the corresponding symbol to cause Data-Sora, Donald and Goody to increase their speed. Pressing buttons incorrectly deducts seconds from the timer, while fifteen successful button presses cause Data-Sora to cover the area in light, dealing extra damage to foes.
