Maleficent is a major antagonist in the Kingdom Hearts series. She is an evil fairy sorceress who made her first appearance in Disney's Sleeping Beauty. She was first seen in Kingdom Hearts in Hollow Bastion. Unlike most of the other Disney villains, Maleficent's schemes extend past the world of her origin, and resurface throughout the series.
