Terra using Blackout in the Radiant Garden

Blackout (ブラックアウト, Burakkuauto) is a technique in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. When used, it inflicts the Blind status effect on the surrounding enemies.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Blackout is an Advanced Magic Command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 3, a normal reload time of 10 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 8%.

• Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can create Blackout through Command Melding.
• Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can purchase Blackout from the Command Shop for 600 munny once five worlds are cleared or the command has already been obtained elsewhere.
• Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can purchase Blackout from a panel at the Deep Space Command Board.
• The Maleficent D-Link has Blackout in its Lv.0, Lv.1, Lv2 Command Deck.

Blackout is an Advanced-class Magic Command that can be melded through three different recipes, listed in the Mega Magic Recipe.

• The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, Aqua, and is a type M recipe.
  • Zero Gravity (LV3) + Confuse (LV3)
• The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, Aqua, and is a type N recipe.
  • Zero Gravira (LV3) + Confuse (LV3)
• The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, Aqua, and is a type P recipe.
  • Zero Gravira (LV3) + Poison (LV3)
