He's someone who goes around to test the strength of key masters. He could be one who was present at the creation of KH and the original X-Blade. After all, since he's so effing difficult to beat, I think that's an accurate summation.

Maybe he is really Anomynous1.0! OK, just kidding. Still, I'm still sticking with my Time Taveller Theory. It only makes sense. I think he is someone from the future who has come back in time to alter the past to save the future (and of course since he is a secret boss, that would mean killing our heroes). I think this because of several of his tasks involving time and space, the No-Name Keyblade has a giant stop-watch on top, and when he first appeared, he just screamed "time-traveler" to me. DarkPuppet13 Do I remember them? Ha! You're too much! I'll never forget what they did to me!... What was it they did to me? Maybe he is the one going to help Master Xehanort in the game that Sora and Riku take the Mark of Mastery exam. It's possible cause Master Yen Sid said here that Master Xehanort may not have been alone.
