Sapphire Elegy
Sapphire Elegy
The Sapphire Elegy is a Heartless exclusive to Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Its name is made out of its body color, Sapphire, and a word associated with music, and in this case, an elegy is a song set to a melancholy tone. These Heartless are gifted with the ability to warp around the battle area, occasionally performing a melee attack to damage those in its way.

The Sapphire Elegy is an annoyance to battle, as its ability to warp around the battlefield makes attacks difficult to land. It also has a large amount of HP, thus there is quite a bit that must be done to take one of these Heartless down. They like to team up with others of their kind, using them to serve as a distraction while they float peacefully along the sidelines of the fight. While they are not all-out offensive, they can swipe at those who battle it as a means of knocking them away. They do, however, drop a large amount of HP Balls and Munny, something much-needed after a long battle. They also have a chance of dropping any one of the three Rune Arts Items.

Trivia
. It should be noted that while this Heartless' name is the Sapphire Elegy, this name is incorrect, as all creatures in this Heartless' family share the common trait of having a color and a music word in their name. While elegy is a music word, the Sapphire Elegy's body is closer to a dark green or turquoise in coloration, rather than Sapphire which is a dark, rich blue. Reasons why this rule was either changed or did not apply to this specific Heartless are unknown.
. Another Heartless in the Sapphire Elegy's family to be named incorrectly is the Turquoise March.
