Agaricus?Edit

Is an "agaricus" a type of mushroom?

If so, maybe we should mention that in a "trivia" section on this article...

--Cyberweasel89 21:57, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

We don't need to. Truffle, fungus, mushroom and agaricus all fall into the same family of plants. The name is self-explanatory. TNÉ je t'♥ mélancolie ! 00:51, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
Small pedantry: Fungi, not plants."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:49, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Using StopEdit

Is it possible to use Stop more than once? -Malus X (talk) 23:11, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Advice on using Ragnarok.Edit

In 1.5 HD ReMIX, the command for using Ragnarok is lumped on to the same button as the "kill this thing for me" feature. Therefore, initiating Ragnarok (or any extraneous command, such as Arcanum) will instruct the teammates to attack, which is apparently a bad thing. What do? 86.3.141.44 13:29, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Sorry to interrupt, but here is a solution that might work for you anon. --77.186.170.37 14:56, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
You're referring to Atown_KiD101's post about using a summon to banish the AI to interact with the Agaricus? I like it. Thanks a bunch, looks like I'll have to make friends with Bambi, so I can at least not waste the MP... Squeenix goofed with changing the command gubbins. The triangle button does three things ("Help me", Interact (open, lift, etc), Special Attack). Meanwhile, the context-sensitive Slot 4 on the interface is now Summon, and R2 seems to have no function whatsoever. Seems like a lateral move. 86.3.141.44 15:20, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Bambi strategyEdit

Why would you have to unsummon Bambi? If Donald and Goofy don't return to the field, they can't interfere, right? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:34, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

You can't use commands like Rangarok, Open, or any other commands mapped to triangle. Since summoning leaves Donald and Goofy at their last position, unsummoning Bambi will respawn them in that same area. By keeping the camera in the direction they're in will not invoke them to attack the Giant mushroom, since more than likely they will not be able to move around will attempt to walk through the wall. まそっぷ ! I can definitely confirm this. It's the only way I've been able to get above 30 hits."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:54, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Stop SpellEdit

The article states "Stop only lasts for twenty seconds", is this true when used on the Pink Agaricus, regardless of level, max MP or spell tier? JAK0723 (talk) 13:44, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

StrategyEdit

When I battled the Pink Agaricus in the original FM, Donald and Goofy never attacked it, and I didn't change their AI settings. (I think they just don't attack it, like they don't attack White Mushrooms) Also, when is the optional battle with Sabor, because I don't remember ever seeing a hole in the Tree House? TheSilentHero 18:28, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

There's several possibilities -- you either already had them on acceptable settings, they got trapped, or you had them targeting something else like the star barrel. However, it's very possible to have them attack the Agaricus, so it's something the reader needs to be warned to prepare for.
I don't remember exactly when, but I believe it's if you go back before the final battle; he'll create a hole in the floor. I didn't do it on my profile, so my experience is with the no-hole setup; I've heard the hole actually makes it easier to lose Donald and Goofy, though."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:04, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
According to FM's party member draft, you can't set party members to not attacking. Also, here is a video of the Pink Agaricus in the original KHFM with Donald and Goofy standing next to it. (It also has the hole). TheSilentHero 18:13, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
You can set them to attack as infrequently as possible, which is enough for the duration of the sidequest. In the original FM, you also do not need to trap them because Ragnarok is not triggered with triangle. As indicated in the article, the mapping of Ragnarok to triangle created a very serious obstacle to the Pink Agaricus sidequest that was only resolved when people discovered the trapping "glitch". Donald and Goofy can certainly be next to Sora despite the existence of the hole, but from what I understand it is simpler to "trap" them if you have it (not that it happens automatically).
I'm not sure what your complaint is. What claim in the article do you think is fallacious?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:41, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
"In order to inflict the highest number of hits, the player should customize Donald and Goofy's AI to attack as little as possible". In the video, you can see that they do not attack at all, except Goofy using MP Gift. Even if the AI is set to Occasionally, they should at least attack sometime. And later it is said that "In Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, Ragnarok is activated by Triangle, which will also force Donald and Goofy to attack Sora's target regardless of their current AI settings.". Therefore, I think we don't need to mention changing the AI settings. TheSilentHero 18:48, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
Try fighting the Pink Agaricus with their AI set to anything but Occasionally, and see what happens. I can't speak for the original FM, but with 1.5, it was a must. If you can demonstrate that their AI settings don't have an effect on their participation in the original KHFM, then we can add it."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." PS4 VersionEdit

In the PS4 version, looks like they fixed the issue where pressing Triangle made Donald and Goofy attack the Pink Agaricus. Which means you don't need to get them stuck anymore.
