Why is this at Arch Behemoth, and not Arc Behemoth?

I can't fix it, because a redirect was made and only an admin can move over it. Can someone please answer?

Talk:Behemoth. Not 100% until I can translate the journal entry, but "Arch" simply doesn't make any sense in relation to the character, while Arc references quite a few things about it.

Prehaps the name is refrencing arch as in a kind of rank.

Keyblade-Blk.png Here, the names are under each enemy.

Keyblade-Blk.png I think it means Arch, as in a high rank. Remember, the Kingdom Hearts series has many relations to the Final Fantasy series, and many of the powerful enemies from all games contain the word Arch meaning a high rank or power over those similar.

Keyblade-Blk.png Yes, like an archbishop, which is an elevated bishop in Christianity. Arch must mean it's rank.

KrytenKoro - This is the song that runs under the credits; these are the credits, so this is where it goes. 'has nothing to do with the movie so we'll say, "Hey! Hey! Hey hey hey hey hey hey!"

There is no "Arch Behemoth" in Final Fantasy, (in fact, the only final fantasy enemies with Arch in their name are the Arch Dragon, from the spinoff game Vagrant Story, and Arch Azul, from the Dirge of Cerberus, released after KH Final Mix), and Japanese-based fansites translate it as Arc, and they specifically define it as relating to geometric arc (極圏)). Thorf, the only one whose actually put time into translating and analyzing a lot of Final Mix, also translated it as "Arc". "Arch Behemoth" was pretty much a name created by English fans only semi-familiar with Japanese, and it seems in most cases they did not have access to the journal entry, while Thorf and the Japanese fansites did. Furthermore, supposing the name as "Arch" and claiming that it means that the Behemoth is a higher class doesn't make sense, because the Arc Behemoth is the weakest version of all Behemoths.

Again, all of the contextual evidence points at "Arc", and all of the authoritative translations claim the translation is "Arc". There is no evidence for "Arch" besides the thought that it is "possible", which goes just as much for "Arc".

EDIT: I did find a Chinese site that translates it as Arch Behemoth: http://www.ffsky.com/ff/zhuanti/KH/fm_4.htm. But again, Chinese.

I would like to ask again that the page get moved back to Arc Behemoth, as there are Japanese sites that translate it as "Arc", and there is contextual evidence for "Arc", while there is none for "Arch".

KrytenKoro - Most bears were content to live their lives, mauling and eating one, maybe two humans at most. "Mass-murder," as the bears always said, "is for the sharks." But not Barry. Barry was different. He knew that one day, he would kill ALL of the humans. This is the inspiring, tear-jerking story of one bear and the dream he dared to dream.
TALK -
Okay, now that we have a journal entry that conclusively puts to rest the "higher rank" idea, can we agree to move this to "Arc Behemoth"?

In my opinion, I think it should remain Arch Behemoth. After all, an arc is a curved shape and does not describe Behemoth in any way.

MoveEdit

I've gone ahead and moved it, without keeping a redirect or "japname" parameter. I still think the name is inappropriate considering it's the weakest Behemoth and appears in a world just jack-full of snow and ice, but it is what it is."We're werewolves, not swearwolves."
