Just to make it clear :
A singular noun, such as "player", CANNOT be followed by a plural pronoun such as "they". Use the general "he". Or if you're scared that fangirls will come running after you with swords and clubs and axes, then switch to the safest possibility - "you".
I'm not going to have every strategy page filled with these errors (and to tell the truth, I've come across many such instances) - so if you've referred to "the player" as "they", please correct it now.
