Trivia
- Setzer's appearance in Kingdom Hearts is criticised by Final Fantasy fans, particularly by fans of FFVI as well as old-time fans, as he is portrayed as an arrogant ladies man. He was similar in the original game, to some extent, but his character has been quite exaggerated.
- Setzer is technically the "earliest" Final Fantasy character used in the Kingdom Hearts series, hailing from Final Fantasy VI and is the only Yoshitoko Amano-designed character to appear in the series as well as the first to be redesigned by Nomura.
- Setzer can only have an entry on Jiminy's Journal after Sora defeats him in a Struggle match.
