Aerial Dodge (エアドッジ Ea Dojji , lit. "Air Dodge") is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to dodge in midair.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts II, Aerial Dodge is a growth ability that costs 3 AP to equip. It allows Sora to perform a midair jump that deflects enemy attacks by pressing , in the Japanese releases, while in midair. Leveling it up increases the arc of the dodge. Aerial Dodge gives momentum to Glide when the latter is used right after.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Aerial Dodge is a movement ability that costs 3 AP to equip. It is activated by pressing and tilting in mid-air during combat, and allows Sora to spin in a chosen direction. If Air Slide is equipped, Aerial Dodge replaces Air Slide in combat. While Aerial Dodge has more invincibility frames than one instance of Air Slide, it gains less distance and is a bit slower.
