Origin
The footstool servant, called Sultan, and the nameless coat rack servant originate from Disney's 1991 animated musical film, Beauty and the Beast.
In the film, the dog Sultan was turned into a footstool due to the Enchantress's spell. When the villagers attack the castle, Sultan barks to warn the other servants. After the curse has lifted, Chip rides on Sultan's back.
The coat rack gives Maurice a blanket when he first enters the castle. When Beast is getting ready for his date with Belle, the coat rack gives him a haircut. During the date, the coat rack plays the violin. When the villagers attack the castle, the coat rack helps defend it by hitting the villagers with its arms.
