Potential answer
When I made my most recent edit (at the time of posting this message) to the page, I caught the hidden message tied to the description of Sora's back throw:
- ""Sora performed throws like these in the original game" when?"
I personally first saw it as being similar to the Blow-off command (and have since retracted that opinion), but others over at the SmashWiki have likened it to the "Merge" reaction command tied to Larxene. I can't say for sure whether or not Sakurai outright based Sora's back throw on this, but I figured I'd throw my two cents in. Aidanzapunk (talk) 21:10, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- He says in the "original game", which sounds like it means KH1, but I suppose that can be a translation thing. The thing is that it isn't clear what move it is based on, but it's definitely based on something because of that comment. I know SmashWiki mentions Merge, but I feel they are a bit more speculative in move origins than we are as a wiki. So we need to find a right balance between noting the move it is based on, and not speculating. TheSilentHero 17:59, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
