Redesign
This has been on my mind lately, but I'd like to propose that this template be resigned so that when we use in articles, it blends better with the structure of the rest of the articles' content.--NinjaSheik 20:39, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
- In what way should it blend better with the rest of the page? I always liked the Zelda Wiki's solution where you can collapse those sections. --ShardofTruth 08:24, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Actually, yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. :D If there are others who disagree with that particular idea, we can also find a way to to stretched the Canon template out more so it's more fitted to the article's format. Take Ava's page, for example. The way the Canon template is built, it makes the formatting of the article itself look incredibly awkward, even more so when someone tries to stick an image in the template.--NinjaSheik 22:04, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- An alternative might be to make it more like the Spoiler or YouMay templates, where instaes of incasing the information/content, it's just a thin message across the whole width of the page. I do like the idea of hiding it/placing it out of focus so that it's not a distraction to the rest of the article, whether that's by making it in a collapsible table or something else. I had thought of something like a hoverable reference kinda thing, though I'm not sure how feasible that actually is. KeybladeSpyMaster 23:21, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Mouseover text is also a good idea, and so is using a template that spreads the message to the width of the page. It'll definitely help blend the template more to the article. In regards to the mouseover text, I think it is possible to implement, and we can ask Porplemontage to look into it and see if it's feasible to use on the KHWiki if that's what we decide to go with.--NinjaSheik 21:47, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think we should go for mouseover or hover text, as it doesn't work on mobile devices. TheSilentHero 22:24, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- Ah, good point, THS. In which case, perhaps should go with a template that's similar to the Spoiler template?--NinjaSheik 19:43, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- I think a collapsible table would be better. The spoiler template is usually used for the newest games, and skip the section completely. Non-canon story is placed in-between canon story, so making it collapsible would make it easier to read, since you can just collapse the parts that are non-canon. And we should make it as wide as the rest of the text. TheSilentHero 21:42, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- The - template should be used after paragraphs led with an image, anyway. I would suggest a collapsible template, as well."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:59, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

- The sentence is way too large, and wraps unaesthetically if the window isn't fullscreen. Can we tone it back to the original font?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:37, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

I updated the template on all the articles except for these ones: Daybreak Town, Chirity, Gula, Invi, Aced. Someone please finish the rest. Also, I had to edit out the "width" part of the template out, or else it would cause a massive space gap on Kairi's article. Soroxas (talk) 16:24, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for updating the pages, but we were planning on using the bot for that, so we wouldn't flood the RC. I undid your edit, because part of the reason we redesigned this template was that it would be the same width as the rest of the page. You can actually change the width on pages itself by adding |width=. I left that part of the code in, in case of pages like Kairi where it would collide with other templates or images. - Well, Soroxas started doing it manually, so I finished the remaining ones. I wanted to wait for someone to use the bot since I didn't want to flood the RC, but what's done is done. However, the only one I haven't done is the Daybreak Town and Chirithy. Because of the header for the template is fixed to say "This information is based on alternate scenes or materials and is only considered in continuity if...", it won't flow well if the sentence "Events dependent on the Player's Union", so I'm kinda reluctant. I was wondering if there was a way to rephrase it?--NinjaSheik 18:52, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
